About a year ago I bought myself a computer for drawing, basically just a tablet but with windows. I payed ALOT for it, and it had good reviews so why shouldnt I? Im not gonna mention the brand because I'm not here to drag them through the dirt, it's not their fault. I bought the computer through a company that lets others sell through them (think Amazon kinda) and all went well. I paid, got my computer and was feeling so shitty for having spend 2600 euros on a hobby, but I was in a dark place where I was about to give my horse away due to trauma we had together and him being too hard for me to work with, although the sweetest most loving horse he had fears I couldn't help him with. I was also heavily bullied in the stable I had him at, by everyone who either told me to put him to sleep, told me how shitty I was or just turned against me because someone better came along. But that is a story for another time.
I had this computer for about 6 months when the first issue came around, the screen glitching, turning on and off in a rapid speed. I figured it was because it had been sitting by my window in my bedroom and was cold. Turning it off or letting it heat up helped but the issues started to get more intense, longer and more often. In june I had enough when it just didn't stop unless it was on for like 20 - 30 minutes and even then it wasn't sure it helped. Having it off for a day or two helped at the beginning, but I still tried to get in touch with the business I had bought it from to get it fixed. At the same time I did some googling and found it's an issue with these computers that usually get it replaced by the manufacturer, so I was like this is gonna be a simple send it back and get it back. That was the beginning of june. For 2 months me, and the company that acted like a middle hand, tried to get in contact with them and I am willingly gonna name drop them, Factor52, stay away from them as they seem to pull this on others too. I was at a breaking point in the beginning of august because at this point it was a constant glitching screen. Finally I turned to the ones I had paid it though, and they took my side and basically said "fix this or she will get a refund", the middlehand (again, think Amazon) agreed to take it in to look at it. That's about one and a half ago and nothing. No updates, no feedback, nothing. I started contacting the repairshop, trying to get some kind of word back to just know WHAT is going on, not expecting it to be fixed but just wanting some sort of update. Nothing. Nada. At this point I'm a WRECK, that's alot of money just gone. So I turned to the middlehand shop again, took them a week to reply and that was last week, "oh they are looking for someone that can repair it". IM SORRY YOU HAVENT EVEN FOUND THAT YET? Like excuse the fuck out of you but I dont think you gonna find one. It's not like we are talking wacom here that most people use for this, no no we are talking a small brand from China. So yesterday I tried again to contact them, explaining as this has now been 3 months, almost 4, in the making and it's dragging out towards being way too long, I asked what will happen if they can't find a place that can repair it (dont think they will as the manufacturer themselves REPLACES the computers with this issue). The manufacturer themselves is having the drawingtablet on sale, and I had hoped to get money back to be able to actually get to buy it from them directly instead but it's not really... looking good. Tldr: Bought an expensive computer and it seems like now when I sent it off to get "repaired" I wont get it back woo.

Also for anyone wanting proof of this being a habit of them, just look on trustpilot...

Update: Finding they are the OFFICIAL reseller in europe made me upset and I have now started sending angry emails left and right, and I hope my email finds them before I do

WTF? I had an issue with a laptop of mine earlier in the year. The good news is I had two other older back ups I could use when I shipped mine off to be fixed by the company. I still had a warenty on it so that was helpful. It took about a month and a half for me to get it back, but at least once a week I got messages stating where it was in the repair process. It sucks that this happened to you, and hopefully you can either get your money back or your drawing computer back. If not is their anyway you kept any all documentation of the transaction with who you dealt with so you can take these jackasses to court to get your money back?

Unbelievable and quite frightening. Not over priced at 2,600 but only if it works.

Yeah I am currently driving this hard, and I told them I will bring this to court unless fixed asap. I have sent so many emails now to different places to get help or to simply tell them I will bring this as far as I can just to get either A. New computer or B. my money back. But with different timezones (I'm in Sweden and the overhead company and manufacturer seems to be China- or U.S-based) it takes some time for it to take wind. But trust me, if they don't reply or won't help I will start trashtalking them with proof 🤣

Most likely China since it's a bitch to get anything done with them. You threaten lawsuit in the US they'll either say bring it or back down fairly quick.

That could end in a lawsuit. . If it has been more than 5 months, i would do something about it and take action, but thats just me. its crazy how ignorant some companies are. Edited at October 1, 2024 01:07 PM by Royal M Cavalry

A lot of companies work 24/7 to make sure that their shitty products get overwhelmingly positive reviews, because that's what drives up their algorithm and makes more sales, which they then reinvest in the whole process. They're also relying on the majority of people who buy crappy products to just write it off as a loss instead of pursuing action against the manufacturer or distributor. I took the bait on a well-reviewed drawing tablet one time, and it was dead within three months. But in my case, I also cheaped out due to finances, and it doesn't sound like you did. I hope they're held accountable.

Update on the whole situation: I have gone to the creditcompany I paid through and asked for them to help me get a full refund. We are going into 4 months now since first attempt at contact. Even the american company has attempted to push at contact and nothing, nada, fully getting ignored. I reached the end of my rope now and will take legal actions if I am refused a refund
