I also just found out that he has a full sibling, a sister! She was born in 2019, and is unraced ^^ He also has a half brother(?) (same dam, different sire) I'm hoping that we're going to be able to reach the breeder of him and his sister, maybe we can purchase a sibling of his in the future? Edit: oh lord I found more info!! He was racing in 2020, and won some money :o I also found which tracks he raced at Edited at May 26, 2021 04:00 PM by A grape

More happy stuff: Maple followed me around today! ^^ Before, he mostly would ignore us, now when we come to his stall he comes over to the fence/looks up. And then today for the first time he followed me around ^^ . Also we worked on desensitizing to straw hats which I think worked quite well :)

Aww straw hats are scary, good for him for getting over it. Like I can't blame the crows once you plop that hat on the scarecrow.

Terrifying things aren't they? Also the dude that owned him before thought he was some macho cool cowboy (wore a straw hat) and was mean to Maple :( So its extra happy

He wore a straw hat (like a cowboy straw hat if that makes sense) and spurs and cowboy boots everyday with jeans that looked like he rolled in the dirt with. And he had an ego that was shall we say. Large. 🙄 He has! He looks a lot fuller. Our trainer said that his shoulders and ribs look better. She said we need to work on his top line, but that will come with walking and collecting. The wound from his saddle is also almost healed up (fur and skin is starting to grow over, and its not as really not as deep). So I'm hoping mid June or early July we will begin working on riding. Happy happy stuff all around horse wise.
