Not a bug. Warmbloods can't be appy, and the way KNN were originally added to the game was by allowing players to capture them in this manner. So instead of just popping an error, that's still what you get.

As Eyrie said this is not a bug. Only Sport Ponies, Sport Horses, Knabstrupper and Irish Sport Horses can be appaloosa.
