So I swear to you this story is true! I still don't believe it myself! But it happened!
So this week has been a very rough week for me. I lost My dog and my band director within two days. (My director did not die but I do not feel like explaining everything)
I got home and got on Facebook and there was a post in a horse sales group that I am in. The post says: Is anyone interested in a 20 year old sorrel gelding? Free to the right home.
I contacted the woman and asked if I payed gas, would she deliver. She said yes. She lives in the town over. She called me and asked for adress and we got all the details set. I would have a horse that evening and be able to ride for the first time in almost three years.
Now when the woman got her, she told me where he came from. She did not originally own the horse. She went and picked up two free horses. The women could no longer take care of them. She was pregnant and had two kids. So they had lost almost 100 lbs. When she unloaded him all I saw was the horse he could be.
She asked me if we had the stuff to ride him with. Of course we answered truthfully, not yet. She walked into her trailer tack area and came out with two saddles, a bridle, a hakimore nose band, extra reigns, and a lead. She handed a saddle to me and the ither she carried to my porch and sat down. All we had to get was a blanket.
Yesterday I got on Mo bareback. Let me tell you. He rides like a dream! He has a smooth gate and he neck reigns! He is perfect! He Will gain all the weight he can now! He settled in right away! I will get pictures when I can!

Thank you Kuewi! I'm very proud of my new man! He is under weight by 100-150 Lbs but that's an easier fix. We have to work him and needs love, attention, and riding but other than that he is a little doll!

4-10-19 This boy, Mo, we realized, had we left him another month he would have starved to death most likely. Here is a picture from that day. https://i.postimg.cc/QM0Df7Cy/20190410-191235.jpg
4-29-19 He has gained weight by this picture. Will get a new couple when I get home today and upload them tomorrow. https://i.postimg.cc/FHcS2rQv/20190429-080523.jpg

Now when I say had we left him, I mean in his previous home.

So today my gorgeous boy came up limping. I'm very sad, worried, and scared. I dont want it to be something he will be put to sleep over. I'll give an update. We have a lady coming to check him over today and a farrier tomorrow to try and get to the source and see if its fixable.

Mo looks like a gorgeous boy and I am glad you found such a nice horse. I hope the limping is nothing serious and that he is okay.

So limping is coming from the stiffle joint. Sometimes it can fix sometimes it can't. Sometimes its just he needs more muscle mass. Its an old injury that his previous owners caused. They stopped him too hard causing the injury.
