Fancy Grove: in my opinion that guy needs a little more training to show well at level 7.
He only has heart training bars to level 6, and only one level 7 bar in strength.
You can certainly try him, but I would wait if losing money on entry fees is an issue for your bank amount

I can try but I don't know if I have enough money I need to see the prices

Hey there. I thought I'd share my journey to finding my forever horse so far.
For the past four years I've had horse's in and out from sales, things to train and resell, horse's that went lame or horse's that were flat out not a great fit.
I like to think I'm extremely picky with my horses. I want something with somewhat smooth gaits, nothing stocky built and either under 14.2 or over 15.2. I'm weird like that lol.
Anyway... I have mostly ridden jumpers, event horse's or OTTBs for the past 4 years and ponies whenever they come around. The reason they've all come and left is the fact that I could never decide what I wanted for myself.
Not only do I jump, I run barrels and playday very heavily throughout the year and I'm trying to get into rodeo like I did when I was younger.
So, I've decided to sell my gelding. He's a 15.1hh QH x Gaited. I've had him for about a month and I've noticed how unhappy he is working in the arena and I can't force it on him to make me happy if he's not enjoying it. He will be finding a more suitable trail/pleasure home. The thing that makes it sad is I am extremely bonded with Brody. He will lay his head in my lap and I've taught him liberty and tricks. No matter how bad I want to keep him it's not fair to force him into something he doesn't want to do.
So now I'm looking for a horse/pony trained western with rodeo miles (possibly) that has the athleticism to jump and enjoy that to. I have a couple horse's lined up to look at.
Please don't leave any "just pick a horse and keep it" or "why would you sell a horse you need to keep it forever" bullshit comments. That won't be tolerated . This is a journey. I've had a hard time finding my perfect horse after losing what I thought would be my forever horse summer of 2017. It's been a mental struggle that I want to put a stop to.
Ask any questions you have down below. I'll be answering and updating frequently

I saw you lost what was meant to be your forever horse in summer 2017, I get you. I had a horse and he was just so great at western and English riding. I sold him due to both of us having health problems, I couldn't let such an amazing horse be ruined because of me. My lungs were acting up very bad back then and I didn't get the time to ride him with all the x-rays and hospital visits (which are both still going on) and he had COPD (basically horse asthma). Riding him was horrible sometimes because I could hear him breathing so loudly after a trot around a small arena, I knew he would be happier going to a riding school, he went there and is now only used 1-3 times a week in beginners riding lessons. I will never again be as confident a rider as i was with him. That horse taught me everything and I will forever be grateful to him, he will always be in my heart.
I get how you feel, losing your heart horse feels like a million knives are stabbing you everywhere.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. It means a lot that someone can relate. I lost Luke when he fractured his spine and was paralyzed. Only a week after my mom surprised me with him and we won our first show together. He was just a baby.

I also lost a horse due to a broken spine, she wasn't meant to be my forever horse but she was still amazing, we tried everything to get her standing but we didnt want her in any more pain. she died happily, no pain, just hugs and kisses from me and telling her over and over again that I love her and she had been so great to me, then I told the vet I was ready and said goodbye to my baby girl.

Your forever horse will surprise you. I wanted a 15hh+ younger mare I could train to jump, ended up with a 14.3hh arab gelding that had been written off by multiple trainers. I wouldn't trade him for the world.
Good luck on your journey. The road there can be rough, but your destination is more than worth it ♡

You guys are literally the sweetest people ever. I'm heading to the Extreme Mustang Makeover this weekend and I have my eye on one horse in particular that will probably be way out of my price range but I've watched her whole journey. You can see her (Roulette) being trained by Sam Vanfleet on Youtube. That's a horse I would do anything to have.

Ohmygoodness my friend has been obsessed with Toulette forever. Sam is an *incredible* trainer, it would be great if you could manage to get her!
