Not feeling like drawing out all the details but for a quick run down, our lesson was AMAZING. We worked on jumping again going through a gymnastics line (bounce, one stride, two stride) which he was great at and then a 4 stride vertical to oxer line. We also did a lot of trot and canter poles which is currently a big focus of mine at home.
I have huge hopes of us competing in the Take2 TB hunter and jumper classes this October so these next 3-ish months will be hard work to make sure we're ready for the 3 foot and one meter heights. I normally wouldn't throw a big class into the plans so early but Baloo is an honest, hardworking, talented and brave horse who has shown his talent over jumps that size at home. The classes are free as well which helps a ton. If it doesn't end up happening so be it, but right now it's something I have my mind set on.
Thinking of doing a bit bigger of a jump school in the next couple days to let him have some fun. These low jumps are making him bored lol

3 months with Baloo have flown by (I know i said 3 previously, I can't fucking count lmao) He's in "polework bootcamp" right now with the exception of tomorrow's lesson. He's been really good lately, he's been pretty consistent in the contact and doing my transitions through circles have been helping keep him up off is forehand. We are shooting for a schooling show at the end of September and our first "A" rated show in October. I plan on showing in the 2'6" TB hunter in the eq, U/S and O/F. Had a dressage lesson starting to learn the test for our surprise show on the 15th and 16th. We go school XC on the 15th and then show in the derby and dressage on the 16th. I'm hoping I'll be able to truly do both days but that'll depend on my mom being able to take the 16th off (I don't go to shows without her lol). We'd be doing the BN division which I'm super excited for! 2 weeks until the show is going to fly by. I have 2 more lessons before then, one this coming Monday practicing on the barns modified XC course and then a final dressage lesson.

Been doing plain old flat work and a couple little jump schools since my last update. Today we worked on flying changes and I semi introduced tempi changes. My lesson for this week had to be cancelled because we had something come up but I'm going back Tuesday then hopefully schooling XC the week after!
