My grandma takes in a bunch of abused horses and she had a few a couple years back and it was actually so sad. One out of 3 of the horses had to be euthanized. I could never imagine putting a horse, or anything in that matter, through something like that.

If the public, non horse people saw behind the scenes in most other sports, racing would look like the most humane

Oh, I usually show AQHA/APHA, so I'm not really sure about open show level rules, but I feel like there is probably some restriction lol?
