To be fair, I do have 60+ level 9 riders, so that creates a huge chunk of that bill. My horses make me about 3 mil in profit a week, so it's worth it!

Facebook groups are sometimes my go to really. You usually get to talk directly to the owner (unless they are selling through a trainer, but the trainers can still be extremely helpful.) You can check profiles to make the seller is legit. And most private selling groups do take time to check out each member to make sure they are real and not scammers (although some can still get through of course, it's a major red flag if they don't have any facebook friends, no pfp, etc)
Another cheaper option is of course doing an on or offsite lease, you can find talented horses without paying 5 figures. :)

Thank you! I have been looking on facebook and know of well known OTTB people who always have a sale. Now they are a few hours away like 16 but we can drive if we think it is the one.

Trust me, just went through that haha. Every horse we looked at was hours and hours away, I'm sure the right one will come up though!
