Teaching my Horses Liberty A few years ago, I taught my horses liberty. I'm self taught and so I struggled. It was enough to keep me entertained though. Recently, I found a youtube channel that I really like. I've decided to restart my horses with liberty. I watched a bunch of videos and started. This was a week ago. I've decided to use this to record my progress and let you guys follow along. Edited at September 24, 2020 08:11 AM by HMH Reality Check

Day 1 I started with my older arab, he did super well and immediately stepped on to the mark along the fence. I asked a few more times before switching directions, repeating the previous steps, I rewarded him and put him away. I switched to my much younger AQHA gelding. He struggled in the beginning, trying to step over it like a large ground pole. After a few tried he got it. He was still struggling, but was getting better and better. This is awesome! I had a clinic with Sam Vanfleet and Camille McCutcheon (Camilles Mustangs) and learned a lot about liberty and I've begun teaching both of my Mustangs!
