Have you ever seen a 5* eventing trot-up? Any trot-up? There are a number of horses who are absolute dolls and puppies at home but the excitement of the crowd and knowing whats coming, they are antsy

yep I was a bit harsh with my hands as a kid so every time I yanked or pulled to hard I had to run three laps around the arena

my horse has only ever been trailered somewhere once and ridden and he was super chill about it, but hes also an ottb so trailering and going new places is normal for him. The more you get horses out and about the better they are, and the less antsy they'll be

its more so a precaution as he's a stud and people are stupid and rider their mares right up on him but once he trots around to a few minutes he's good then we swap to a correction

Horses are their own being and can think. In a new place, I would expect them to not act normal and be on their toes slightly. Plus, the energy of the place can totally feed into their behaviour.

Wow
Ever been to Dressage warmup at a 4 or 5 star eventing venue?
These are internstional, level horses, and to say that they never get antsy, or run through the bridle with their riders from time to time is just dumb.

Ok, so I get the homo/heterozygous for patterns, but I'm still not sure about agouti and extension and what colors require which genes. At some point in the future, I want to breed my Connemara/TB mare Liberty to a homozygous paint stud and found this guy, Texas Magnum Seven while looking around searching for homo tobiano studs.
He's brown tobiano, homozygous for black and won't throw red.
Liberty is sooty buckskin. (dam is buckskin, sire is dark bay). What colors could come out of this cross, for curiosity's sake? Liberty got a color test sent to UC Davis and doesn't have any red genes, either, so that's clearly out. Is buckskin a possibility? Or will the foal just be black? I'm just really curious about this now and figured this was as good a place as any to see what people think xD Thanks!

I've never even thought of just googling it; I'm definitely using it for HEE now, as well lol!
