Newest news! (as of 11/29/2022) Ehem! Hello! for those of you that have been watching this painfully long road trip i have an up date! So, yesterday (monday) i drove to the vet with mrs roxy. and we had some very very happy comments by the vets, when we first started this, they told us we would have to put her down, and she would never recover from this state, but i was NOT going to take no for an answer, roxy is an amazing horse and deserved much more, so with some of my own research about potentail ways to fix this, i went to work. and that brings us to now, roxy now walks comfortably on all fours, but we still keep her in a splint, vets where very impressed, commenting "wow, ive never seen a method like this, but it works very well!" and now we only have one month left in the splint before we can start removing it for short ammounts of time a day in her stall. this horse is remarkable, she never lost hope with us or let a bad day ever get to her, she truely is one of a kind. With all the BS she has been put though we are now nearing the end of our story and our mids of a full recovery to pasture soundness. this new years, we can all celebrate roxy's recovery, annnnd off topic but after a year of struggling to diagnose my other mare, we have finally found the problems! She has sulkish thrush (?) and a navicular soft tissue thing, i forgot what its called, but im so happy i can finally get to the VERY bottom of her soreness! we have come so far with healing our horses, although we lost one along the way, he will be missed, and if you arnt aware of whom im talking about, i recently lost my very first horse, prime age of 34, Diesel. He treated me very well, and took care of me as a gelding would, it pained me very much but we had to put him down in october, i wanted to say thank you for everyone who thought aboyut roxy and took time out of their day to read my situation, lots of love to everyone and happy holidays! ♥♥♥ Edited at November 30, 2022 09:17 AM by Zeberz Manor

*The Start of it all* So, about 6 months ago i got a 14.2 HH chestnut mare, with the lovely spicy name Roxy. She was an amazing horse and dedicated to making you proud, she loved any job you gave her and tried her best. she is such a sweet horse full of love. i truely loved this horse and was hoping for yeras together, but recently she got in a fight with my other mare, and she had tones of swelling on her leg after, and her fetlock was dropped even with her pastern, we had though it was a sespensory ligament and only that, now only to find out yesterday my poor lady has broken her leg in 3 differnt areas. Roxy is tough as nails and has been so willing and hopful though this whole proccess. She will be going under for surgery soon, in hopes of fixing it enough to where she can be comfy enough to live her days out on pasture. unfortunelty she will never be able to move the same again, will never be able to do her job again. i was horrified to hear this news but we are in hopes surgery goes well. if she isnt able to live on pasture by winter, the vet said that we would have to let her go. many tears where shed these last couple of days. Sooo... Roxy update!! This girl is incredible! so far her sespensory has been healing with this magical item!! (Kimzey Leg Saver Splint!!!) and she looks great! (She tore her sespensory ligament, and broke her splint bone in 3 spots, which is surgically removable) and she is likely to make a full recovery! she may be able to show again even! last night i was hand walking her on the lunge line and she got a bit excited and took off bucking (taking the line out of my hand) and just had the absoulute time of her life, and after? PERFECTLY fine! shes so amazing, tough girl!
