So.. I lost my dog, Manny, on March 1, 2017. He was around 13 years old and I had had him for about 10 years... He was a black Lab chow chow mix, and he was one of the sweetest dogs in the world! My mom runs an in-home day care, and NOT once did he do anything wrong to the kids (all were under 4 years old). The worst he would do you you was kill you with kisses :P lol. I just want to add in that we got him from people who wanted us to watch him for "The weekend"... a 10 year long weekend. Yeah they never came back... Overall he was an an absolutely amazing dog, and I miss him every day even though its almost been a year I still miss him, but I know that he is in a better place where he is not suffering :'). In case you're wondering he passed away of old age and kidney failure... Thanks for reading and I'm sorry if I bored you...

Ahhhh. Meeka was the same way. Us kids could pull her ears, tail, fur, jump on her, nope she would not do a thing. We had to put her down 2 yr.s ago due to kidney failure.

^^ That's how my Manny was (And we had to put him down, it would have been selfish to keep him alive when he was in pain)

Those keep for the weekend dogs are the best, we got one - Allie, a Lhasa at age 16+ and we had her until she was in her twenties ( we got her a puppy when she started slowing down). RIP Manny

I had the sweetest rescue mutt, we think she was part German shepherd part terrier, got her when she was a pup and I think the was 10 when we put her down due to bon cancer in her back legs. She would do anything to make us happy, and she fought even after they gave her the meds.
