Pera, maybe it's half-Arabs! I had one do that to me in the middle of an equitation class and then try to bite me for good measure. Suprisingly, we didn't place! ;P
My boy stands so nicely at the mounting block but once we get going he doesn't like to plant his feet. Slowly been building up the time that we stand between exercises.
Honestly it's really good for them to just get on and let them sit for a minute or two instead of immediately walking off to work. Puts them in a better frame of mind for the rest of the ride
