I voted no, and would not like to see it anywhere outside the genetic test. One look at a horse's pedigree is enough.

Definitely! Finally! Yes! I've been flabbergasted since beginning to play that COI isn't a visible stat. I always try to keep up the diversity of my lines and would really love to have this stat to just see, how I'm doing. It really adds a new layer of challenge to breeding good ratings. Let's tackle this! Yes! Edited at May 23, 2024 02:08 AM by Frostmoor

The problem is that there are so many lineages that are in red, especially in breeds that have few WWWs this would make it incredibly difficult to re-breed I'm pretty sure all of the top stallions in nearly every breed, because people won't want to breed to a horse with .001% inbred because they aren't perfectly diverse; the idea that it could be a tested stat would help a little, or you can look through the pedigree; but overall it sounds like despairing idea. I agree WWW's are a bit common now, also some WWW W (bravery) exsits like eve said it wont effect game play and I honestly dont think that many people are going to care but its another thing that keeps people intrested and striving higher.

I think this is a good idea as long as it doesn't affect gameplay. Horses can't get sick or have malformations in-game already and I wouldn't be pleased to see a notification saying, "Your foal _____ x _____ has Cleft Palate and has passed away," or something like that. I could also definitely see new players being shocked at how inbred some LB horses are but if they're concerned about that then that's their problem. If you want to breed for low COI percentages, great, go for it. If not, that's completely fine too. All in all, I think COI testing should be separate testing for people who are interested in it and should be displayed on the pedigree page to avoid over-cluttering the horse's original page. I think COI should not affect gameplay and just be another stat for people to breed for if they're interested.

I really hope it gets implemented :) it would be fun to see how inbred are the best horses in the game, and for those who wouldn't want to inbreed it would give an extra push to start new lines from wilds or from the SubSubSubs :D Edited at September 8, 2024 11:14 AM by Blue Lagoon Farm
