Sometimes all the things listed in the poll as well as movies, books, etc. Geldings just get their horse number. Right now anything below WW+ rating usually just gets a number as well.

On my RID account, they're all named after moons. On here, I've started picking a random country and/or state per RO and naming all my bravery horses after cities in that area. My AD TBs, however, are a fever dream of naming conventions and they just get whatever pops into my head at the moment of naming. Sorry ponies. Some of y'all have lovely names and then there's Frank and Bananas.

I go on equibase and pick random names of real thoroughbreds that are racing that day.

My AD wilds are Latin names, like Gladius, Frigidus, Canus, Nubis, etc, my D WBs are french, so I've wound up with C'est La Vie, La Vie Est Dure, La Vie Est Belle, and La Vie Est Douce, and the rest are just parents names lol.

I choose to do a "mushroom" themed barn and name. So everything is either related to mushrooms or I choose a random word and slap mushroom behind it xD

I use metal song titles for names.

I have a theme for specific bloodlines predominately. But I do often find myself naming ponies via their parents sometimes too.

I usually pick a theme and go with it till I run out for certain groups of horses.
All of my LB Braves used to be named in Klingon. I'm keeping with that theme now and then using botanical names for all the new geldings.

I use an alfabetical code for the year I bred, caught or buyed the horse. All the horses I got in this game year have a D initial. ISH and RID have Celtic names, KNN botanical names. Pons have Latin names.

Typically based on parents names but if I can't come up with anything from there, I'll look at the stable names of whoever is posting in the chat at that moment and smush something together haha!
