Book titles/characters, song titles, place names that are important to me and sometimes just random words. I used to try and name every horse but lately I can't keep up! If I buy a horse that I don't like the name of, I rarely change it, even if I want to . :)

My favorite names that I give my horses involve elements, fantasy, or a combination of the two.

I usually look through the pedigrees and try to take elements from it when making my names, while also making them unique. For example, Erovas is kind of a mix between Everest and Asroh, but also inspired by the character names of the book I was reading at the time. For my colour program, I usually use two words, such as my horse Beach Boy, where the names Red Sun, A Bit Gold, and Soft Serve reminded me of days at the beach. I'll also name my colour horses based off of looks, like one horse is called Fleshlings because he's a spotty blood bay that looks like rotting meat LOL.

Based on their (the horse) appearance and somewhat on the parents'. I've been doing two-worded names recently.
