Bisexual here ^-^ sometimes I forget that homophobia exists to be honest, I'm surrounded by such a group of easy found down minded people, and have man's quiet friends so when I see negative or hateful things said about us it feels like the first time lol! |

Edit: I came off a bit harsh with this >.< I didn't mean to offend anyone or be bitchy, I just don't associate with the people who try to make themselves look at queer as possible (and the people who stand at the corner of the street and protest trump for LGBT+ rights) on the pride month thing, I understand that being queer is a big thing and it's still illegal in most countries, but hell women having rights is still Illegal in a shitton of countries. To me June isn't pride month it's PTSD Awareness Month and im going to stick with being Bi in the corner of my bedroom :) |

I too do not outwardly go to any pride events, make it known that I'm not straight etc, majority people in my life do not know either, it's not relevant I am not my sexuality. And all the accessories are certainly not my thing.
However, Pride Month exists to celebrate progress, honor struggles, offer support, and push for equality. It’s a month to remember that love, identity, and freedom are human rights. And to respect and commemorate the people who have fought for us to be able to express who we were born as, without being criminalized. Obviously no one is forcing anyone to support something, but I feel it's important to remember why pride month exists. It's not just a month where people cover themselves in rainbows and walk through parades because they're queer. . Especially when considering the fact that it's still illegal in over 60 countries to so much as marry someone of the same gender. And still seen as morally wrong to a large portion of the population. |

The first page of replies was a bit disheartening but the support following was amazing I am apart of the community I don't often openly express it here * Anyone that offered up words of disapproval please realize we are also human beings with feelings I will be honest its upsetting sometimes I've spent my whole life hearing everything you could possibly say to put us down so keep the negativity to yourselves please |
