This is reminding me so much of (very unfortunately) the market price for real animals (horses). Without having a base value for the animals to all have - the economy of the horse industry went a bit crazy. And still is dealing with that 20+ years later. A sale happens when one person is willing to spend what another person is asking for. The same horse could go for 20k or 200 depending on the market and the buyer. Even COVID showed us that - animal prices went through the Roof. And we're back down to where people can't afford to keep the horse due to the economy, so they let them loose on public land or overflow rescues and shelters. Not having a Buyer who will pay This Set Amount Of Money - means that the animal doesn't have a minimum worth. It's a real world crisis - and now it's in game too. |
