Prologue

------------------------------------------------
The black horse of the night, the very myth of seeing a purely black mare that had no reflection or no shine to her coat when the moon or sun shined brightly on her, the mare was born with emerald green eyes, very rare for a wild mare like her.
The horses that this mare had met, would never want to go into her new herd, the mare was always devastated to hear horses and stallions reject her idea of having a wild mixed herd, but then..
A group of horses was off taking a trail ride, with their owners and riders, then a rustle of bushes that something swift and cunning was around, then a couple howls here and there and suddenly a group of wolves were attacking the humans and equines.
Until a mist rose up and then a flash of lightning and a black horse appeared in front of the humans and equines, the horse kept rearing and neighing at the pack of wolves, she showed no fear until she opened her eyes and the green started to glow and then..
The wolves ran off and the mist clouded more and more, the horse turned it's head to look at the humans and equines staring at her, then when the mist clouded so much and disappeared, the blackest of the nighted horse had disappeared too. The humans and equines were puzzled, then a person trotted to where the horse was and examined the ground, the person was a guy and he found a tiny little feather laying on the ground..

------------------------------------------------
As the rolling clouds of the night, multiple hooves dancing in the dark, each one more different than the last, the first of a herd running by is a black horse that cannot reflect the light of moon..
The mare was tough and bold, she led the herd as the stallions before either gave up or left due to predators and eating slow, or just because they want to relax..
Either way, only one horse has been running the herd since she was born in it and that the black mare running faster then darkness it self, the herd always ran this fast and speedy..
The mare's in the herd were different by each gene in their body, and one more unique than the last mare, even the stallions that were born had many different markings, their dams proud and happy..

------------------------------------------------
As the black mare slows down and starts to get tired, the caravan of crows follow her green glowing eyes, the mist smuthering the glowing eyes as it makes the mare look haunted, the shivering chill of remembering the horseman and his stallion as he rode through the night when the mare was a filly back then, the memories of dodging every wrangler that comes for this very special black mare..
The thought of running away again made the mare worry for her new herd, and the foals being produced by the stallion wouldn't run far, and the mares loved their home, their safe haven. So the mare vowed to protect her home, her herd, her family, her forest..
------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------
As the mare trotted over to a spot over in the shade of a meadow, the shadows over the mare made her look like she was blending into the night once more, the herd looked at their lead mare in puzzlement. They were curious at what she was doing, but she was taking shade to cool off her heated body.
The stallion was off foraging for more hay, mushrooms, more grass and other edible food for equines, just for the mares that were in foal and were also weak so they wouldn't be able to get up and eat properly like a normal wild mare.
But that the life of the Black Herd, a herd that is known for having a black mare, the same coat they horseman's horses coat was, the very slick and shiny coat only made it more valueable for a "True Black Nighted Horse".

Information

A True Black Nighted Horse, is a horse that has far developed a genetic to blend into the night and never have a shine to be spotted and taken away, but this mare had green eyes, and a true black nighted horse has either amber, brown or rare blue eyes.
Emerald green eyes on a true black nighted horse is so rare, even a wrangler would breed two true black nighted horses with rare emerald green eyes and produce the best eyes in the entire world, but the mare we have has another coat applied to her true black coat. But even I cannot find out what it is.

Continuing ahead!

Anyways, as the black mare scours the meadow for something to eat, only grass was available and no hay around to seen for another year, the black mare was mad but ignored it.
As the mare starts munching on thr green grass, the wind swaying, the sun warming even the coldest of horses, the stallion was teaching a foal how to run. The clouds were slowly rolling across the sky silently. It was a good idea to move the herd to a walk as the wind was cool and refreshing if the most hottest of horses were hot.
When the mare trotted around the mares, she started gathering the herd up, one by one, the stallion saw the mare gathering the horses up so he stopped the trainging and took the foal back to the herd. The mothering mare of the trained foal was neighing happily as he nuzzled her on her stomach lightly.
The black mare neighed quietly and then loudly snorted to the herd as the stallion ran to the forest and made a quick turn to run around the herd, the mare was not impressed by the stallion, but he was happy to be running around childishly.

------------------------------------------------
Then as the herd was running between trees and catching up with each other in the herd, the foals of each one was in and out of the herd as they dodged the trees very fastly, the stallion was surprised and impressed as the foals were neighing happily to each other.
The black mare turned her head to look at the millions of different coats jumping over fallen branches, turning at a sharp angle, dodge tiny gaps and jumping over crevaces to keep up with the herd..
Then.. A tiny loud heard neigh was abrupt in the loud neighing, the black mare stopped like she was doing a western stop and looked back at the herd, then.. Far away, a horse was walking slowly, the mare reared up an galloped to the mare..

------------------------------------------------
As the black mare stopped and started to examine the mare, the old mare then fell to the ground, the mare loudly neighed so high that a caravan of crows came calling to her loss, the crows started mourning as the mare kept screaming..
The stallion couldn't do anything, then.. A foal came out, but the mare didn't survive, the black mare knew that, and so, the black mare took the foal as her own.. She was sad to see that her dearest herd member had passed away..
The other mares in the herd and the foals looked at the lead mare as tears were falling from her green eyes and her cheeks, the stallion trotted up to the black mare to be there with her, the little foal found the black mare as his mother and had gotten up an hour later.
The black mare loved the little colt and began trotting with him as he was getting better and better at stabilizing his legs more, the stallion also followed behind the mare and colt, the herd also trotted behind the stallion..
