Chapter 1: The Call to Adventure (part 1)
"Seraphrina!" A high voice broke through the young enchantress's thoughts. "You're going to burn something!" The voice was from a tall enchantress. She wore a light green Jasmine styled top, that covered half of her top, and both of the sides came together in a ribbon like shape. She also wore a skirt like bottom, that had a bunch of belt like tops on the flaps of the skirt and little packs on some belt tops. Over top of that she wore a dark brown vampire like cape that seemed to merge into the skirt. On her arms was a glove, a light pastel green like the rest of her, but it only covered her arms, it went into a triangle shape at her hand, allowing for a less flammable hand. She had golden booted that went to knee height, and had a scale like texture. Her hair was a long smooth shade of dark brown. She had a soft face, with eyes that looked as if they could kill.
"Oh sorry Mrs. Moodshadow!" Seraphrina told her mentor as she snapped her mind back from the moon. Her green eyes looked startled as her white hand sprouted flames as red as her hair. She had a long pastel green robe on that was partially clear on the sleeves and skirt. Underneath the sleeves, you could see a metal arm armour in a shade of greenish golden on each arm. The metal horns on her head looked elegant in the lighting, but the fire in her hand mad her look powerful.
"You will need to be careful with those flames. You don't seem to realize how big they are!" Mrs.Moonshadow joked. Though it really would be a shame if something did happen to the room they were in. It had a large dome shaped glass roof, and books surrounding them in a large circle. The shelves were so high that it was impossible to see the top!
"I know. I know!" Seraphrina sighed. Today just didn't seem to be her day, something was up. Her mentor had even changed a bit, as if something was wrong!
"You know, I think I may have something that you will need." Mrs.Moonshadow sighed. She slowly levitated up and walked on the air toward the bookshelves skimming past most shelves in circles until she grabbed a stone palette. "This is practice for your ancient Eldorian, and it mentions you."
"It does what?" Serephrina quizzed. Her eyes went from stone-cold with concentration to wide-eyed with confusion.
"I'm not too sure. I found it last week, right after you left!" the magical mentor looked almost as puzzled as Seraphrina herself!
"Hmm..." Seraphrina sighed when she looked at it. It was most definitely ancient Eldorian.
As she looked at the palette she slowly started translating.
First there was a fire symbol, which meant destruction, or evil, then there was a wind sign. Which could either mean, something is coming or danger.
Seraphrina decided that she would go with the safe choice and go with that it was predicting that evil was coming.
Then the palette showed a sign of power and healing, like some person would save them all. But, next was not a picture but a name. An ancient Eldorian name. While the name was pronounced, Zephria, it was spelled, Zephyria, and it roughly translated to wisdom, which was the same thing that Seraphrina translated to. Wisdom.
