My biggest thing I learned with succulents and Cacti is spritzing with water instead of watering in the ground because they get water from their "pores" not their roots.

Ven, get a red prayer plant for your darker office. Super easy to care for (water when soil is dry, every 1-2 weeks) and HATES sunlight.
