Don't get rid of them, you just have to train them some more before they start placing better. There are some showing guides in forums!

You can't roll brindle on or off.. but you can change the pattern and color of the brindle with rerolls.

Brindle is the only random phenotype in this game which doesn't roll on or off. It is also added in the colour description while chimera, manchado, etc aren't. Probably because brindle was a thing in the game before rerolls were introduced.

I really need to know when you put an image in a forum and you want to add a link to see full image... which link do I choose to put there so I see just the image enlarged and not the hosting site (IBB or such)

The Kildare Cattle Breed

Breed Origins

Kildare island is a small 274 mile U.S. island off the coast of Georgia and South Carolina. The island is privately owned and has been managed by a single family since its discovery in the 1800s. While the family makes the majority of their living from farming the extremely rich soil of the land, they are also the founders of some of the most popular and universal stock animals in the world! The all-purpose Kildare Cattle breed is widely popular for its versatility and wide range of capabilities. One one spectrum, the breed is an excellent stock breed choice for regions that enjoy the adrenaline high of bull riding or steer wrestling, but with calm and docile temperaments, the breed can also be an exceptional choice for conformation showing and 4H projects.

The Kildare Cattle Breed is a wide combination of established breeds known all over the world, thus, can vary in appearance and stature based on which breeds have the heavier influence in that particular bloodline. However, in all true stock, you will find characteristics or traces of the American Wagyu (Wagyu crossed with Angus), Hereford, Piedmontese, Jersey, Holstein, Brown Swiss, and Ayrshire breeds (but regularly crossed with brahmas and longhorns for bucking stock). Though tough and able to adapt and survive in any wide range of climate conditions, they are also known to be kind, docile, and curious by nature. Some bloodlines make great pet/farm cows, known to form bonds with their owners as well. Bloodlines used for meat and/or dairy production are known for maturing early for processing, as well as having longer productions lifespans when used for milking, overall, making them an excellent choice for operations of all scales.

Breed Specific Characteristics:

Accepted Heights: Between 115 cm and 173 cm

Average Weights: Females (900-1500) and Males (1200-2400)

Longer production lifespans and are healthier than most breeds

(^ Fall to less illnesses, even as they age, and are not genetically predisposed to any certain health conditions)

Higher chance of producing twin pregnancies than other breeds

'Double Muscling' (grow more muscle/meat than other cows)

(^ genetic "quirk" inherited from the Piedmontese cattle - does not affect all individual stock of this breed or an effected indiviudal's health in any way.)

Recognized Colors & Markings

**PSA: I do not claim that these are true genetics in any capacity! I just chose to use both horse and some cattle genetics for the heck of it.

Kildare Cattle can range in a range of colors, but the most observed are bases of:

Red

Black

Brown

Cream

Gray

Kildare Cattle can also come in an assortment of markings such as:

Roan

Splash White

Sabino

Rabicano

Frame

(^Homozygous frame can result in a lethal white calf)

Brindle (Rare)

Spotted Pattern 1: Large markings seen over body

Spotted Pattern 2: Small amounts of white seen over body

Spotted Pattern 3: Can be colored or white ticking across the body (Resembles roan)

Kildare Cattle are known for having an interesting range of face markings even without the presence of certain markings.

Breeding

Rules

Each cow can be bred a total of 5 times. Bulls can be bred as many times as you'd like. Steers cannot be bred.
When it comes to choosing your breeding matches, you have a couple options:
You can own both parents
You can get permission from other stables to breed with their own KCB cows or sires
You can borrow a foundation cow/sire from Kildare Island facilities, or from Serenity's Shorthorn Cattle herd
You can get permission from other stables to breed with their SSC cows or sires, also.
Crosses between Serenity Shorthorn Cattle are able to be registered with Kildare Cattle and vise versa. You can visit their thread here:

Breeding Stats

Stats are for showing. Each Premade, Custom, and bred cow/bull/steer will have base stats.
The parents stats in each category will be combined (See the showing post below for more info on stats). The calf's stats will be rolled from half of the total to the combined number.
For example,
The cow has a stat of 10. The sire has a stat of 8. This is combined to 18. The calf will receive a randomly generated number between 9 and 18.

Breeding costs is 30k

payment must be sent before the calf is made.

Showing

The Kildare Cattle Association hosts shows and tracks points earned by each animal in the following categories:

• Conformation
• Showmanship
• Stock Quality
*More may be added later
.
There will be separate shows held for bulls, cows, and steers in each category.
You may enter each of your cattle into the one category at a time per each show.
Shows hosted on this forum are for purebred Kildare Cattle and Kildare crosses ONLY. Purebred SSCs are not allowed to be shown to receive points and/or prizes by this association (this also goes for SSC Association shows regarding purebred KCBs).

How it Works

For each show, a number 1-6 will be rolled for each animal and added on to the stats. This is temporary, and for that show only.
The highest stat cow, bull, or steer will get first place, second highest stat will get second place, etc.

Stats

• Balance
• Condition
• Movement

Breeding is the only way to increase stats. This is explained in the post above. Breeding can produce stats above 20.

Points

Points are awarded to the top 2 placing cattle in each category.
1st place = 2 points
2nd place = 1 points
.
Once a cow, bull, or steer reaches 20 points, it will be awarded a Champion Title and in addition, will receive the ability to pass down an additional +5 stat point on to the base stats of the offspring in which they produce after being titled.

Prizes

As of right now, since showing is still new, prizes will be determined by those who participate in showing. These can range from ribbons, trophies, discounts on breedings or breeding items, discounted customs, etc. At the time of entering the current show, please leave a comment on which prizes you think should be included in that prize pool.
