Mares and fillies do too. Our two year old was bad right now. A baby will be a baby no matter the gender. I honestly cannot say what gender is more likely to go through a mouthy/bitey phase. Been around a lot of babies and honestly it has been pretty close to 50/50

We have a horse at the barn who is a phenomenal ADULT show horse who bites. He never was taught ground manners such as standing still, how to respect his handler etc. in the saddle he is a darling, on the ground he is a monster. He was only taught to win everything else was ignored

They all go through a bitey phase when they are young. Testing boundaries. I try to figure out why they are biting, are they bored etc. but more recently I have resorted to a good pop with the lead rope in the nose. Shocked her the first time, has not tried it again for awhile now. Definitely do not want her biting me during halter, they are looking for behavior

Yeah I have to change everything at least twice. But me and trainer are thinking 3x may end being what it is.
I have to start in ranch clothing. Which would be a western style shirt, jeans, and cowboy boots.
Then halter, I can either do western or a fancier dressier getup, I am doing this possibly with Cinders, who is half Arab, so it would be arab halter. Then English classes I change into my English riding habit. Then back to Western Pleasure which would be the same outfit as Ranch at the moment, since I have not yet purchased the sparkly WP outfit.
