This has completely cleared up why I feel like I am constantly struggling to make enought ebs to breed. I didn't know the profits were different between basic and premium.

The game doesn't give out different profits between Premium/Basic. It's just that Premium accounts are generally more competitive because they know how their horses are rated, and therefore know what disciplines to show them in. So you have to be smarter about it. Basics are just guessing for a lot of their (unrated) horses unless they have been trained up to make a guess from the training gauge. So a lot of horses are showing in the wrong disciplines or aren't trained correctly. It's less competitive for them. Edited at February 8, 2023 01:42 PM by Cadence Farms

Thank you for clearing that up for all of us! I'll just have to have a stern talk with my competitive horses about success. ;)

My BM is set to only competitive and only SD horses. It is quite possible to make money from showing. I have some weeks where I'm only just breaking even cause a lot of my horses level up in the same week or two and require a couple weeks of training before they're able to make money again. . My real money makers are my SD world class geldings. Wayyy less training required thus more often in the money!
Except they dont stay in the money long at all. And your profit breakdown isnt enough to be able to breed competitively on this game, unfortunately.
That is true, showing isn't my main income so I'm not able to comment there

Thank you all for the comments. I have been trying to get rid of horses that do not show or breed up iin the breed up program. I have had some success in that area and with working full time and a very clingy dog, I try to get horses in show every week and tracking the numbers, and the amount of Horses I have is not very fun at times. But my love of the game wins out :) Edited at February 27, 2023 11:30 PM by 3S Breeding Farm
