Stick with a single breed at the start. ItÂ’s a lot cheaper and faster to improve.

Buy a bunch of midlevel geldings (level 3-6 or so), so that way they are already trained and can start earning money sooner but still have a long showing career ahead of them.

Geldings for sure!! Start with lvl 3s, and buy in sets of 10. Only show horses "in the green" to maximize profit to start. A very good showing guide written by Hyrim Canyon can be found with the link below. I suggest the 7 step process :)
