Yeah member shows are funny like that. Even though it looks like a horse is doing well with lots of points, if he's placing second or lower in small classes, he's actually losing money because the classes are so small. If a horse is entered in a class of two, only the winner is making a profit.

No, member shows are the only way to get the most points because you can show in those every day whereas regular/fed shows are limited to three days a week. Fed s don't really get you more points.

Can we talk about how GORGEOUS RID's are with the long mane and tail??

Most points of the year would be my choice. Looks like federations are best for that

Do you mean the LB for winnings? Member shows would still be best for that because you can make more money with those than if you just do regular shows.

LBs aren't based on showing, they're from breeding

Oh probably, lol. So, if I wanted a horse to get on a discipline LB, would the best way be club shows or? Cause your right, like they placed well but nothing special.

Regular shows have a lot more competition with 12 horses in a class whereas member shows aren't very popular and can have as few you 1 or 2 horses to a class, so a horse may look like it's doing good because it got second place in a class, but really it was in last place. That could be what's happening with your horses.

Hi! I'm new. Any of you elite/pro people have any tips other than are in the FAQ and newbie handbook?

Stick with a single breed at the start. ItÂ’s a lot cheaper and faster to improve.

Buy a bunch of midlevel geldings (level 3-6 or so), so that way they are already trained and can start earning money sooner but still have a long showing career ahead of them.

Geldings for sure!! Start with lvl 3s, and buy in sets of 10. Only show horses "in the green" to maximize profit to start. A very good showing guide written by Hyrim Canyon can be found with the link below. I suggest the 7 step process :)
