Sage was more than happy to rest there for a while, just sort of piled up with everyone there. Though, he did glance over at the older girl when she moved, and chuckled slightly at her apology, shaking his head. "It's fine," he mused. "Liz and the dog were laying on me, you may as well have joined in on the fun," he joked lightly gesturing to the other two who had flopped on him to ...the baby against his chest and the dogs head on his thighs. "Less tired now," he asked, more out of a courtesy thing than anything. She did look less tired though, so that was good. He sort of wished she'd stayed there longer....but he could t exactly say that, could he? It could make things awkward, and he didn't want to mess anything up.

T gave a slight chuckle at his words, the flush on her face building ever so slightly. She curled her arms around herself and let out a soft sigh, offering him a small smile. "I guess you make a pretty good pillow. Feel free to use me as a nap accessory any time, I guess." She joked, rolling her shoulders back and taking a deep breath. She glanced up at him for the question, her gray eyes clear and brighter than they had been. She gave a simple nod. "Much less. You'll definitely be taking first watch tonight, though." She said lightly, leaning forward and reaching her hand over his lap to stroke Lucifer.

Sage noted the flush on the girl's cheeks and grinned with a rather mischievous light in his eyes, though at her comment he chuckled lightly. "I might take a rain check on that one," he mused before grunting and nodding. "Im ok with taking first watch," he agreed lightly. "as long as Lizzie's sleeping now she probably won't want to go to bed right away anyway," he grumbled, though in a rather fond manner.

Tempe gently crawled away from him as he continued, giving a light nod. "Alright then. Should I be expecting you to cash it in soon?" She teased, digging in her bag and then withdrawing a small, leatherbound notebook and a worn pencil. She made her way back to his side again, settling and opening the book.

Sage chuckled lightly and gave her a grin. "Maybe," he mused. "We'll see when I do something stupid and get hurt again. Then I can use you as a pillow," he joked, though there was a bit of truth to it. He did seem to be rather...accident prone. As in, jumping into a fight without thinking much about it. But whatever. He couldn't help but watch the girl curiously when she grabbed the pencil and notebook, wishing he'd thought to bring his sketchbook with him when they'd started moving around during the apocalypse. But that was a while ago....it had started in the town he'd lived in pretty quickly. But even so, he was curious to see what she had.

"Oh, great. I just can't wait." T chuckled, flipping to the nearest blank page. Most of the book seemed filled with words- whether songs, journal entries, stories, was unknown. She paused when she noticed his gaze glued to her book, offering him a light smile. "I write sometimes. It helps me to feel human- or the opposite. Feel like whatever is... going on out there isn't my problem. Kept me sane." She said softly, wiping her thumb gratefully over the blank page. After, she set it on the ground and held her arms out for Lizzie. "Anyway. Show me what you can do with a pencil, big guy." She teased, nudging the book toward him.

Sage snorted in amusement when she joked around again and then hummed softly in response to her comments about the writing. "My handwriting always sucked, so I never wrote much," he admitted. "I barely graduated high school," he chuckled, shaking his head. "I much prefer drawing," he added with a shrug, eyes lighting up when she offered him the book, moving to shift Lizzie off of him as gently as possible so she wouldn't wake as he passed her to T. He paused for a moment, sort of trying to decide what to draw, before deciding he wanted documentation of Lizzie as she grew....even if it wasn't actual photos, he could get them pretty darn close. And he enjoyed it....so that's what he got right into. It was only going to be black and white, but it still came about rather quickly.

"Eh. I have a problem with writing in cursive too often, my teachers hated it." T chuckled, offering him a grin. "You? Almost fail high school? I could never imagine." She teased, smiling when he lit up and took the book. She gently shifted Liz in her lap, leaning her head against the wall and watching him intently as he drew. She said nothing, looking content to watch him focus and enjoy himself. She went back to observing him, her eyes slowly tracing down his body.

Sage chuckled slightly at her comment about writing in cursive and shrugged. "I never learned. I struggled to write regular letters as it is. I still write in all capitals," he admitted with a sort of shrug. He threw her an amused glance at her tease though, chuckling slightly. "I know. You could never imagine that, could you," he noted with amusement before focusing more on the drawing as it came about. The girl seemed to be perfectly happy in the silence, and he really only remembered he wasn't alone when he heard Lizzie waking up and cooing. He was pretty much done by then though...it being a few hours later, and grinned over at the baby. "Did you sleep good hunny," he cooded over at the girl, resulting in a sleepy grin from her. "You're not as drooly in your picture," he chuckled lightly, handing the notebook back to T, since he really was pretty much done....it looked pretty much like a photo already. He scooped up Liz though, wiping the drool off her chin and whatnot, really just fussing over her a bit as she woke before nestling her back down in his lap.

"I could teach you, if you cared to learn." T shrugged, the offer nonchalant. She reached back and gently rubbed at her shoulder, unable to get the proper angle to massage the tension that bothered her. Her other arm held Liz gently but firmly, using her knees to lay the child against. She let out a half aggravated huff and stopped her pursuit of comfort to watch the dozing child in her lap. She smiled as Lucifer walked over to lay between her and Sage, attempting to get attention from both at once. T used her free hand to ruffle the dogs fur, petting him absentmindedly as her mind wandered off in thought. The silence was comfortable, rather than awkward. The atmosphere alone was enough to make her want to nap again.

Tempe dozed in and out of wakefulness in the hours he was drawing until Liz moved in her lap. She sat up gently, blinking down at the child and then at him as he spoke. She smiled at his cooing, gently helping Liz into his lap. She took her notebook back and blinked at it for a few moments in utter shock. "Sage," She huffed, her jaw ever so slightly agape. "You told me you could draw. You didn't tell me you could take photographs with a pencil." She finished, letting out an utterly surprised giggle as she turned the notebook to face him and Liz. "Lizzie, look at that. That's you!" She cooed softly, pointing to the art beneath her hand.
