Mari rolled her eyes at him after a moment before moving to peck his lips. "You can't get a new one, but we can sure as hell fix the one you've got," she grinned happily to him. Going to grab him some water anyway. He put it down next to him after a moment before shrugging. "Just rest as much as you need. There's someone close by if you need anything, yeah," she chirped softly to him before patting his shoulder and wandering off to get a couple of things sorted.

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comment, grinning up at her happily. "Yeah, Id appreciate it if my body decided to help us fix it though," he noted with a sort of snort before nodding in response to her second one. "I can drag a chair over to the easels if I need to," he mused. "I should be alright for a while," he added lightly, nodding again when she patted his shoulder and moved off.

The woman grinned to him, though once she left her smile dropped a little. She wished he could just get better as much as he did. But it wasn't going to happen just because they wanted it to. His body had been though so much in such a short amount of time, and they couldn't change that. They could try and get him better, but it wouldn't always happen. She sighed softly before moving to tidy up a little before eventually flopping down on the couch, eventually just nodding off to sleep.

Sage had sighed once Mari left, staring out the windows dully for a few more minutes until he moved to pull the chair over near the table and easel he had set up. He got to work soon enough, drowning his emotions in the paint, as he often did. It did lift his spirits though, to finish three pieces that had been sitting there for a while, all of which would be sold for a decent amount. He sat back, taking a moment to chug the glass of water before diving into a new project, of the beach Mari and he had spent their time on. It was at dusk, and depicted the most perfect weather, Mari moving to spin in the wind, the folds of her dress swirlign around her beautifully, her feet dancing through the sand. It was dream material, really...but it had been real. And it had been absolutely lovely. This one would probably be a keeper....he'd give it to her for her birthday, he thought, since it was coming up within the next few days. And it wasn't like he could get out to buy anything. He finished it after a while, looking outside to see a sunset as he draped fabric over it to hide it, as he figured Mari would come get him for dinner or whatever. He realized he'd missed lunch, but shrugged it off and dove into another painting, similar to the one of mari, this one to sell.

The woman sort of just layed there on the couch for a while. It was getting to a point that she just didn't know what to do with herself. It was a little pathetic if she was being honest... she was meant to be looking after the home and the kids but she didn't really need to do that so much now. As of then, Sage was her priority. Was it bad she almost didn't want him to get better? So that she could look after him still? Well, yeah, it probably was. She did want him better, but she supposed she just missed having someone to fuss over. Soon enough, though, it was dinner time and she'd made up a very simple roast and put drinks out. She called the kids in, and then moved over the the studio to wrap her arms around Sage and burying her nose into the back of his neck. "Dinner's ready," she whispered softly to him after a moment.

Sage had half jumped when he felt Mari's arms wrap around him, though he glanced over hos shoulder up at her with a grin. "What did you make," he asked lightly, moving to wash off the brushes he'd been using and clear the spot up a little bit. He'd have to wash himself up a bit too...but for now, just getting to the bathroom to wash his hands off and then over to the dinner table seemed like a lot of work. He really was exhausted now that he'd stopped hyper-focusing on painting. He'd done a lot today, and while it had felt good to get something accomplished, he was rather sore and he honestly just wanted to flop over in bed. he'd have to bathe though, and Mari would have to wash his hair, which had sort of become habit for the two of them. But he was hungryt oo, he supposed, so he'd try and eat a decent meal.

The woman sort of smile when he jumped, to gave him a little squeeze before taking a step back. "Just roast. Come on, you look exhausted. I think you eat then bed, yeah?" She amused before wandering back towards the dining room. She gave a small him as she plopped down just beside Sage once he'd settled down. He did look tired. She let out a soft breath before sort of finishing her food off then going to grabs the kids now very empt plate off them.

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded in response to her comments, though the fact that they were having roast did spark his interest. The girl's food was always delicious, and her roasts were no exception. He was rather glad she'd helped him to the kitchen though, and didn't make him try to walk on his own anymore.....he didn't have the energy for it at the moment, and he figured she'd understand that. Evidently she did, since she helped him along no questions asked. He gobbled down a plate of food before allowing Mari to help him up to the bathroom when he bathed quickly, let Mari take care of his hair and stick it into his normal bun, and then passed out on the bed, not even bothering to get under the covers by then before he passed out.

The woman gave a small chuckle when he passed out next to her, but moved to peck his lips and go get the kids to bed before wandering to flop down next to him after a little while. She wondered if he was okay... he just looked so tied. She gave a small sigh after a moment before moving to wrap the blanket around him, then sort of cuddled up next to him after a little while, more than grateful for a little bit of rest.

Sage was obviously tired....he didn't move once he lay down, not even with Mari going in and out and even taking a bath and getting ready for bed nearby. He didn't even move to curl up when the blankets were finally wrapped around him, though he did relax into Mari when she curled up around him. He slept deeply the entire night, waking up around six in the morning or so and simply shifting to curl up against Mari more before passing back out again.
