The woman stood there for a little while, just enjoying the peace and the warm water running over her. Sage came into the bathroom after a little while, and she couldn't help the little grin on her face when she realised he'd done it himself. She'd been enjoying helping him to some extent, but it was nice to see him getting better, that was for sure. She soon climbed out the shower and grabbed a towel to wrap around herself before just peering over Sages shoulder to watch what he was doing curiously. She sort of pouted at him after a moment. "The stubble was growing on me," she complained in an amused manner, though patted his back before going to get changed.

Sage was more than content to just get himself ready for bed, though when he felt Mari come up behind him he chuckled lightly and gave her a grin. "It was getting uncomfortable," he huffed lightly, shifting over so she could get dressed and such while he finished up. It wasn't the best job...he was going quick, but he managed to get it all off without nicking himself at all, so he figured that was good enough for now. He splashed some water over his face, brushed his hair out, put it up, and then pecked Mari on the head before moving to crawl into bed and wait for her. He was planning on waiting for her, though he found himself drifting off before she got there, which he had half expected.

The woman got dressed quickly, and went to make the kids some breakfast while she waited for Sage to be ready. She sort of groaned after half an hour when she realised she hadn't been called upstairs yet, and them moved to run upstairs. Though, when she wandered into the room when she couldn't hear him moving, and couldn't help her little chuckle when she found him asleep. She flopped down next to him, sort of resting her arms on each side of him and placing her head on top of his hands. She moved to peck his lips to try and wake him up. "Ugh, you're all smooth now," she mused lightly to him.

Sage had stirred slightly when Mari woke him, eyes fluttering open after a bit and giving her a rather loopy looking grin, as he was still mostlly asleep. He mumbled some sort of incoherent greeting ot the girl, not really taking in her comment but figuring he'd have to respond to her at some point. After a moment, he sort of just moved to wrap himself around her and tug her into an embrace with a huff of air through his nose. The kids would be fine eating by themselves for a couple minutes. Besides, he was tired and quickly found himself drifting back off once he had Mari captured in his arms, which was a slightly amusing thought. No doubt she'd want to get up and going again, but by then he was already nodding back off, so if she really wanted up she could definitely escape his grip.

The woman sort of grinned at him when he opened his eyes, though sort of squeaked when he pulled her in. She sort of just rested there a moment, though when he started falling asleep, she patted his cheek and sort of moved to sit up. He wasn't holding into her tightly, so it went hard. She sort of just perched in his lap for a moment before patting his cheek again. "Babe you need to get up and eat before we go to the doctor," she chirped lightly to him. "You can't just sleep all day!" She mused again.

Sage had sort of groaned when Mari got up and patted him, wrinkling his nose slightly and then shifting slightly with a sigh. He knew she was right, though he definitely could stand to sleep for a while longer if given the option. "Do we have to do that today," he sort of groaned, running a tired hand along his face. He knew they did though...the old man was expecting them, and besides, they were really starting to bug Sage. Of course, he was willing to stay in bed too, though that wasn't really an option. He patted Mari's thigh though, letting her know he was up.

The woman sort of pouted at him after a moment before giving him a nod. "Yeah. Get your stitches out today. That way you're nearly healed," she mused gently to him before shaking her head. She moved to peck his nose again before giving a grin when he patted her. "Come on. Let's get you up and we can show off your lovely smooth face to the kids," she teased him gently.

Sage sort of groaned in response to her comment, peering up at her tiredly, though he was starting to wake up more by then. "I dunno, I think I quite like having you by me all day," he half joked, though it was honestly pretty true and she knew it. Though, at her next comment he grunted and moved to haul himself up and out of bed with a huff of air. "I'll be down in a bit," he sighed, figuring he should at least comb through the knots in his hair from the night and use the bathroom before getting ready to eat and then head out.

The woman rolled her eyes at him, a small chuckle escaping her after a moment. "I'm always here. You just need to come and find me more often. I love you, you know. Plus, just because the stitches are out doesn't mean that you'll be magically healed," she chuckled softly before pecking his lips and climing off him. "See you in a minute then. Careful down the stairs," she chirped before getting food out for Sage and cleaning up after the kids. She told Silas to go help Anthony out, then let her brother know they were going out so needed to keep an eye on Liz too.

Sage chuckled lightly in response to her comment, giving her a grin as he used the bed headboard to stand up. "Does that mean you'll keep washing my hair every night then," he mused, phrasing it as a joke to sort of feel her out. Because...well....it did feel really nice. He wouldn't outright ask her though, of course. He nodded in response to her warning though, and got ready quickly before wandering down the stairs. It took him a while to get down, and once he got down he collapsed into a chair, exhausted...but he'd made it down so he was rather proud of himself, silly as it may seem. Soon enough, though, they were out and heading to the doctor's.
