Mari sort of shifted when she felt his arms tighten around her, and gave a small chuckle to him as her hands ran up his back. "Hey," she murmured, still half asleep but all the same happy to be there with him. The kids weren't going to be back until that evening, so they had a little while to chill out. She sat there for another ten minutes before forcing herself to get up and get some breakfast for the two of them... Sage was still groggy, so she let him sleep for a little while longer while she was cooking... she'd bring it back up to him so he could have breakfast in bed.

Sage had mumbled soem sort of unintelligible comment, probably something along the lines of hi or hello or good morning or...something like that. He wasn't really sure what he was trying to say himself, since his brain had decided it wanted to go back to sleep. He'd slipped off soon enough, into the half awake and half asleep stage, grumbling slightly when he felt Mari leave. He curled up under the covers again, which were still warm from her body heat, and settled down again soon enough.

The woman eventually wandered up stairs with the tray and gently called his name, though when she got no response a cheeky grin crossed her face as she moved to put it on the bedside table, and sort of jumped on the bed, playfully poking her husbands sides. "Sage, babe," she hummed to him with a little laugh. "I made breakfast," she mused happily.

Sage sort of jerked awake, though slowly, halfheartedly trying to push Mari away and off of him, though since he was half asleep he didn't do very much. He'd groaned in response to her comments, running a hand over his eyes tiredly and grumbled "you are a menace to society," to the woman, though obviously didn't mean it. Though, after a few moments of laying there with his eyes closed his curiosity won over and he huffed out a breath, opening his eyes again. "What'd ya make," he asked, sort of moving to peer over at the side table, figuring she'd out the food there if she'd brought it up. And judging by the smell, she had.

The woman gave a small chuckle, though was still being rather quiet so she didn't wake him up too abruptly. "You're not society though, so as long as im not a menace to you," she purred in a sort of teasing manner, knowing she was just taking the Micky out of him as of then. She smiled and pecked his forehead before curling up into his side. "Pancakes.. there's some crepes down stairs but I figured we could have those in a bit," she chirped, sort of moving to play with his hair. She was definitely more of a morning person than he was... but that just meant he normally got breakfast in bed.

Sage had groaned in response to her comment, shaking his head slightly but chuckling all the same. "Only sometimes," he mused in a teasing manenr before curling against her when she curled up next to him with a sigh. "It smells good," he mused, humming happily when he felt her fingers running through his hair. He always liked that...it just felt nice, and it was calming. "I'll get to it in a few minutes," he added, really still just half asleep. The smell would wake him up more soon enough. Get him hungry and sat up, that sort of thing. For now though, he was content to just curl up with his wife and wake up slowly.

The woman gave a small smile to the boy, her hand still moving gently through his hair. "Hmm, nah I'm your wife I could never be a menace," she mused gently poking his side again. He'd take his time getting up, and that was okay... but she was bored and when he married her he knew she'd take her boredom out on him. "They should be nice," she mused, rolling her eyes when he curled up with her. She pecked his neck and dug her fingers into ribs with an amused chuckle. "It'll get cold," she chuckled lightly.

Sage snorted lightly in response to her first comment, though it was rather true, even if he would never admit that during one of their playful banters. But he was too tired to come up with anything to say back, so he just nestled into her happily. "your food is always nice Mari," he mused, voice muffled from where it was buried in her chest. "It'll be fine for a few minutes," he groaned, making no move to get up, though he did wriggle around slightly when she's started poking at him. It did pull an amused chuckle out of him, though, and in a few minutes he decided he did want to eat them before they got too cold so he sort of half rolled over and sat up, grabbing the plate with a yawn. "Have you eaten yet,* he asked, sort of running a hand along his face to run his eyes.

The woman gave a small smile before shaking her head, and settled back into bed once he got up. "I ate while yours were cooking," she chirped to him before shaking her head a little and moving to rest her head against his shoulder. "The kids are going to be with mum until this evening. It means you've got to get your act to get her and entertain me," she mused to him before stealing some of the fruit off his plate, she sort of took his plate off him when he'd finished and sort of put the plate on the side.

Sage had nodded in response to Maris comment, nibbling at the pancake happily as he woke up a bit more. She normally ate while she was cooking his....but it never hurt to ask. He wanted to make sure she was taking care of herself too. He groaned when she mentioned that he'd have to entertain her, shaking his head slightly. 'thats nearly impossible," he huffed, yelping out a playful "hey, I thought you already ate," when she stole the fruit. Once she took the plate though, he'd sort of flopped back onto the end and sighed contentedly. "I do have to feed the horses and such....you could come along, meet the new foals," he suggested.
