The woman sort of rolled her eyes at him before giving a chuckle. "See. Aren't you glad I spoil you?" She asked lightly. In truth, she didn't think she did much for him... but she loved him and couldn't say anything more about it. He was so perfect. She'd give him what little she could if it meant he'd keep on loving her. She sort of snickered, though she was obviously just playing around by now. "But they're all muscly!" She mused gently to him before pecking his lips. "And you smell like a gorilla too," she teased jently to him.

Sage sort of hummed as if in thought in response to her comment, really just measing around now that he was waking up a bit. "I suppose so. It does have its perks," he mused. She knew he obviously appreciated all she did for him and for their family ...but he could tease. "Yeah but they're dumber than a box of rocks," he snorted when she mentioned the guards. Of course, at her tease he wrinkled his nose slightly and huffed out a breath. "At least I'll shower when you ask me to," he huffed. "And I'm much prettier than they are, you said so yourself," he chirped.

Mari gave a little grin to him before moving to peck his lips playfully. "Lots and lots of perks," she mused, rolling her eyes a little bit. She sometimes felt like she wasn't doing anything. She cared for the kids, and made them dinner... all the while Sage was out working and doing everything to keep a roof over their heads. But she was glad that he thought she was doing enough. She gave a small chuckle at his next comment before sort of pouting in thought. "You know what? Dumb doesn't bother me so much," she mused. "And who ever said anything about intelligent conversation," she added with a bit of a laugh. He would know she was just messing around, though. She then sort of rolled over to she was half laying on top of him. "You are very pretty," she agreed with a small grin.

Sage simply chuckled in response to her comments, letting out a light hum in agreement. He was quiet for a bit, just glad to be there with her right then, though when she spoke up again he snorted softly. "I dunno about that," he mused. "You wouldn't have anyone to talk to," he noted. "And you'd have to direct them around everywhere," he added in a rather amused tone of voice before chuckling again when she flopped over on him. "Glad you think so," he mused lightly, squeezing her gently.

The woman gave a small chuckle to him before moving to press a light kiss to the tip of his nose. She sort of pouted at him before cocking her head. "You barely talk to me anyway," she joked playfully to him, though a small grin crossed her face ached a moment. "And I direct you around everywhere too. I suppose the only difference is that you're smart enough to direct me around too," she chuckled softly to him, a little hun escaping her when he squeezed her. "You're so, so, so pretty," she mused happily to him.

Sage snorted softly in response to her comment, peering down at her, amusement glittering in his eyes. "well what am I doing now then," he teased lightly before chuckling and shrugging in response to her comment. "That's true," he mused. "Though I'm not so sure I boss you around...it's more like I ask you things and you do the bossing," he added. He was still really just teasing...Mari was always nice about asking him to do something, but he could still tease. He chuckled when she said he was pretty again, simply shaking his head in amusement and nestling his nose in her hair happily.

The woman sort of huffed out a breath before rolling her eyes. "Right now you're trying to talk me out of leaving you for some dumb muscly man," she mused softly to him, sort of curling up to him when he buried his nose into her hair. She hummed in thought before nodding. "That's true, actually. You e never really told me to do anything," she mused gently. It was true. He'd never asked anything from her... and the thought did make her grin. "The most you've ever asked me for is dinner," she mused happily to him.

Sage couldn't help but laugh at the way Mari had put their conversation. "I am trying to convince you you're not gonna enjoy being with any of them for more than a few minutes," he mused, really just enjoying the whole conversation as a whole. He'd tightened his grip around her slightly when she curled in, humming thoughtfully in response to her next comments. "You do make lovely dinners," he noted lightly, chuckling softly after a moment. "I suppose I ask for cuddles too. And sometimes to wash my hair," he added after a moment, shrugging slightly. She knew as well as he did though, neither of them really bossed the other around...they'd ask, and the other would generally be happy to do it. It had always been that way.

When he tightened his grip around her, she looked up at him with a little grin. "That's fine. I only plan on spending a few minutes with them anyway," she teased softly to him. Okay, the joke was a bit crude, but he knew she was only messing around. Nothing would ever happen like that. She smiled when he said he liked her dinners... he said it all the time, but it was still nice to hear. She enjoyed making them too. She felt a little grin tug at her lips, and soon enough moved to peck his lips. "You've started liking your back rubs too!" She added gently. "And shoulder massages," she chuckled, moving to peck his neck before settling her head down on his chest. She liked giving them to him too... anything he asked for, she was more than happy to give it to him.

Sage couldn't help but let out a somewhat surprised laugh, shaking his head slightly. 'youre terrible," he squealed through his snickers, rather amused at the whole thing. He figured he was amused by most of what she did though. It wasn't a bad thing though, he didn't think. He snorted when she mentioned the back rubs and such and shook his head. "Oh, I always liked those. I just felt bad asking for them," he noted, giving her a grin though she couldn't really see his face. "Now you've gone and spoiled me, and look what happened," he teased, knowing she enjoyed caring for him just as much as he liked to care for her, or to be cared for in that way.
