Sage just shook his head slightly when she said there wasn't support. It was there...she just needed to look for it. She was still so focused on how Luther would be better. But Luther wasn't here anymore, and she just ...hadn't accepted that, he supposed, even though it had been years since the boys death. 'its there. You just might have to look for it," he mused, nodding when she thanked him and told him where art was. He squeezed her hand lightly and co led his head, humming out a "you're gonna be alright. It'll come around," to the girl, and placing a brotherly peck to her cheek like he always did before wandering off to find att. He did want to check in on the boy, too.

The woman sort of groaned to him before shaking her head. She hated everything at the moment. Everyone hated everyone she spoke to... it left a certain bitterness in her she couldn't quite explain. She hated everything to do with... life, she supposed. She'd hoped Sage would make her feel better, but she just seemed to resent everything. "I know, I know," she whispered. She knew he was trying to help, but she just wasn't feeling it. She still felt like weight of the world was on her shoulders, and her chest was so tight it was suffocating her. She hoped things would turn out alright, but something in her knee they wouldn't. She hummed out a soft breath before looking over at him when he squeezed her hand. "I hope so," she murmured softly before giving a small smile when when he pecked her cheek. "Thank you, Sage," she murmured softly as she went to play with the foal for a little bit.

Sage had nodded lightly in response to the girl's thanks befroe wandering off again. He'd leave her with the foal for a while...it had seemed to help, even if it was just a little bit. It had helped her to smile though, so maybe it would do her some good to spend soem time in the barn. He wandered down to the gardens until he found Att, who was swingin his sword around. It was a real one by now...the boy was doing well as a knight. He watched silently for a while, proud of what he'd become. But...if there was a rebellion, it would put him in a war. He could be hurt or killed....and he didn't want it for him. He was such a good kid...he wanted to keep him safe. He wanted to keep them all safe. And he wasn't sure he'd be able to. "Your swordplay is coming along nicely," he mused, finally speaking up as he figured he should let the boy know he was there.

The younger boy seemed busy now, though he'd struggled to actually find anything to do recently. Anya hadn't been paying much attention to him, and he did understand, but the whole place was just tense. He didn't have a much to do other than train. Anya was more of an older sister than a mother, he supposed, so he never seemed to take it personally when she didn't have the time for him. He did jump a little when he heard a familiar voice, though troubled to place it for a moment until he'd turned to see Sage. He was surprised to find that he was pretty much the same height as him, and he couldn't help the silly grin that spread across his face. "I suppose," he hummed thoughtfully, sort of swinging the sword in a circle before looking back at the man. "Have a lot of fine turning to do," he chirped, though soon cocked his head. "What brings you over?" It's been a while," the boy mused happily.

Sage chuckled softly when Att grinned once he saw him and he shrugged, moving from where he was leaning against the tree to wander over closer to the boy. "everyone has things to find time," he noted with a shrug before humming lightly. "Just visiting. Mari and I figured it was time to stop by and say hi to everyone," he informed the boy. Then he grinned. "And I brought a colt I think you'd like," he added in a slightly more amused tone.

He short of shrugged before looking down at the sword. "I'm getting there. Slowly, but I'm getting there," he chirped happily. "The guards have been helping," he then added. The boy raised his brows a little a him, his smile sort of dripping a little, though was stil very much present. "You heard what's going on, no?" He mused, sort of moving to stick the sword into the ground. "The whole family figured it's time to stop by and say hi," he added with a bit of a laugh. It was so odd. He'd barely seen any of the family until recently... they all knew something was up, he supposed. His grin quickly came back after a moment. "You did?!" He squaked, looking at the older man a little curiously. "Can we see it?" He asked with a bit of a grin.

Sage chuckled softly when the boy mentioned he was getting there and nodded when he said the guards were helping. "Good. Hopefully they're teaching you the right stuff and not the way they fought before I told them they sucked," he noted with amusement. Though sage hummed when the boy mentioned the whole family had stopped by. "No wonder you're hiding all the way out here," he teased him, shaking his head. 'we didn't know the extent of it until we came by," he admitted. "All we've known was the king had a cold a few weeks back," he added with a shrug. Of course, he grinned excitedly back at the boy when she asked if they could meet the horse, and he nodded, jerking his head in the direction of the stables. "He's in the barn by the paddocks," he hummed, taking a hand out of his pocket to place it on the boys back and steer him towards the hole in the ivy they could get through.

The boy gave a small chuckle before shaking his head happily. "They've been teaching me whatever I get can," he chirped happily. He didn't know that Sage had said anything to the army, but a grin did cross his face at the thought of it. He had to admit, he didn't know much about Sage, other than he'd picked him up with Anya. He was grateful for that, and he knew he liked the man. He gave a bit of a grin and nodded again. "They all came at once and the laggers came after," he mused, then gave a small laugh when he started being led to the stables. "Yeah, they're not doing too good," he mused lightly. It wasn't funny, but he was definitely dealing with it like it was. They soon got the colt, though, and a big grin spread across his face as he went to say hey to the little fellow.

Sage hummed lightly with a nod when he mentioned the guards helping him. "Good. There's a few good men out there," he mused, walking down the path back to the stable. "I would have hid long before they could find me," he agreed lightly, humming when he told him they weren't doing too well. "The doctor filled us in a bit this morning," he hummed, opening the door to the barns and leading Att over to the colt, who still had hay stuck in his hair. "Meet Luther," he chirped lightly.

The boy nodded in agreement to him. "Most of them are okay. Some of them are scary but mostly okay," he chirped. He spent a lot of time with the guards now, and he did enjoy spending time with them. They were rowdier than he would have liked, but most of them were good men. He hummed in agreement. He definitely got out the way when they all arrived. They all got along well enough he supposed, but he didn't like being bothered by them so much. He nodded when he said he'd been filled in, though quickly went to run his fingers through the colts forelock. "That's a good time," the teen immediately happily.
