The woman wrinkled her nose slightly. She couldn't quite wrap her head around why Anya had insisted to the boy come back with them, but wouldn't question it further. It was most likely some strange little attachment thing from being stuck with him for so long. Hopefully, it'd wear off and he'd leave. By the looks of the boy, he was lower than the stable boys. It sounded like it too, considering he didn't know his last name. He had no place in this room, or in this castle. But she refused to go behind her daughter's back and throw him out, especially if Anya would get him out herself at some point... or, maybe she wouldn't get rid of him, not if she was convinced she owed him something. Adelaide would leave him be for the time being, as long as he didn't get in her way at all. Someone so... meek looking wouldn't be too much of an issue, she supposed. She just stared at him for a moment, her face molded into a stern look. All she wanted was a little information, and she couldn't get anything out of Anya, so she had sort of hoped the boy would have had more of an idea. She let out a sigh before reaching for the door again to leave. Maybe something would come out of either one of them in due time.

Sage was definitely relieved when the queen turned to leave. He let out a quiet breath, his shoulders relaxing as she started to open the door. He wondered how Anya and her mother could look so similar and act so different. Anya was caring, but could defend herself enough. While her mother was rough, callous, and obviously thought of him as the street rat everyone else did. But he thought he should say something to her, something about Anya. He knew she was worried about her daughter. "She'll need food, but the rich food they're going to give her, she won't be able to eat," he said softly, staring down at the covers. "Not getting enough food for a time length like that messes up your body. Give her lighter foods she can stomach. Nothing too sweet or greasy. Foods like raw vegetables would be best. And she won't eat much at first, her stomach shrunk. She'll eat until she's full, and her appetite will improve over time." He knew from experience what starving would do to someone. .. it was what he was personally used to. And while no one would probably bother to bring him anything, Anya should get food to help her,not a plate piled full of rich foods she couldn't eat. He was trying to help her, and her mother to not worry so much, though the queen may not listen to him. He hoped she would.

The Queen looked back with a slightly raised brow and just gave a nod. She would take it in and talk to the doctor about forming a meal plan for the girl, with things she would be comfortable eating for a while. She wasn't going to say anything else, and simply left, only to run straight into Anya, who seemed a little giggly, and her cheeks were slightly flushed. It was good though... she wasn't deathly pale or green anymore, and she seemed a little more bright-eyed. "Hello, mother!" She chirped, tightly grasping onto a little tray with some cheese and crackers. The girl tilted her head slightly. Her mother was barely ever on this side of the castle, which was a little odd to the girl. "Afternoon, Anya." The woman murmured, her face softening again. Anya cocked her head even further. Was it afternoon...? Already? The doctor must have kept her longer than she had thought. It didn't matter... he had drugged her up, told her off for going out as she had expected, told her off again for the marks she had left on Sage, then once more for not coming to him the day before about her arm, but she felt a little better. Though, whatever he had given her had made her feel a little... funny. She was all giggly, and she wasn't overly sure why. He had mentioned she would need to go rest some more once she had been some sort of shot, and she would, just as soon as she and Sage had gotten something to eat... and crackers seemed appealing to her. She gave her mother a nod before continuing towards Sage's room again and quietly slipping in. "I just saw my mother leaving... Did you get your butt kicked?" She asked with a small laugh before sitting on a chair not far from the bed. "I brought a snack... some cheese and crackers, you want some?"

Sage chuckled and shook his head. "I definitely made an impression." He grinned and shrugged. "It couldn't have been all bad, she only yelled a little bit." It was mostly a joke ... But there was some truth to it. If she really hated him, she'd have already kicked him out of the castle. It was probably only because Anya wanted him to stay and heal, but she was letting him stay none the less. He reached over and a cracker, willing to try and eat...it was something they could stomach well. He looked Anya up and down, and raised an eyebrow at her. "You look... different. What did the doctor do to you," he teased her lightly.

The girl furrowed her eyes slightly, a slight smile tugging at her lips. "He shouted at me, is what he did." She chuckled slightly, bouncing her leg up and down lightly. "Then he gave me some sort of painkiller with something to stop me feeling so nauseous... a shot, so that it'd be stronger. Something like that." She shrugged as she picked up a cracker. She eyed it slightly, reluctant to eat considering how she had thrown whatever she had tried to eat just a few days ago. Still, she took a small bite before putting the plate on a side table so Sage could help himself. "I feel good, though... great actually, all considering." She shrugged lightly. "How about you? I'll hope getting yelled at by the queen hasn't put you off anything." Anya giggled slightly, pulling her legs up on the chair and hugging them to her.

Sage chuckled. "Painkiller, huh? That's why you look like that," he giggled, lightly teasing the girl. "Something other than me making you blush. Looks like I have a competitor. Might have to go fight some bottles," he joked. Then he gave her a grin. "Nah, your mom means we'll. Besides, it honestly doesn't matter whether it's another street rat or the queen yelling, either way the outcomes are the same." He shrugged and nibbles at the cracker, glad to be able to finally eat at least a bit of solid food. And it was good that Anya was feeling better...she certainly looked like it. Even if she did look a bit giddy. He briefly considered teasing her about Luther would think if he saw her bouncing around like this, but decided not to...he didn't want to ruin the moment. He'd take all the time alone with her he could get. They may not have much in the future.

The girl grinned and turned her nose up in a teasing way. "Mhm, at the moment the bottles are in the lead, so you can either go fight them or make me blush gain yourself some points" She purred, her voice a little ditzy, just in proof she was only teasing. She pouted for a moment. "I'm sure she'll come around at some point. She'll be nice when I'm with you, so you can get in her favor then, when she gives you a chance yo actually speak." She shrugged quietly, nibbling on the cracker. It was strange how the idea of eating still made her feel so ill, but at least she was managing now. She gave him a grin, "Maybe I took some painkillers with a few shots, but its working," she teased lightly. She then furrowed her brows, "he shouted at me for marking you up," she complained almost in a childish manner.

Sage raised an eyebrow with a grin. "No way the bottles are better than me," he complained in a teasing manner. Then he smirked over at her, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Well, if I recall the ride here correctly, there's a few thinga I could do to make you blush and, how did you put it, yell my name because of something 'more exhilarating'. Might get us into trouble though," he cackled, fully intending to make the girl blush harder now that she had practically dared him to. Then he cocked his head slightly. "How did the doctor figure out it was you who did it though? And how did you not get in trouble for doing it with me in the first place? What did he say?" Now he was curious...did the doctor secret like him, at least a little bit? He'd tended to him with care this time, without complaint (at least, that he knew of).

Anya looked a little confused at his questioning before nodding. That was a good point... how had he known? She hadn't said anything. She supposed he could have picked the idea that they were going to end up as something more than friends when he first met Sage, but that didn't mean he would have known what happened weeks prior. She supposed he could have guessed, that he thought they might have done something while locked up together, but they were both too sick and scared to have dared try something like that. "I... I don't know." She murmured, her giggles dying down a little. The girl felt herself go bright red. She wasn't expecting him to have actually heard that... he was barely still alive at that point, and she was making a joke to try and comfort herself a little... or, maybe it was partly a joke. "I thought were sleeping!" She squeaked quickly, her face only getting redder by the moment. She was regretting her wording on the ride over now, she had only given him ammo to tear her up about it. "I...I didn't mean it," she added on quickly, quietly covering her face. She did mean it. Oh, she definitely had, but now it being used against her in a jokey way had her all flustered, and for once, she didn't have the brain to say something back in retort. Well, she didn't until she felt her blush die down a little. "But, you know, I suppose it wouldn't be a bad thing if something like that were to happen." She purred, though her normal confidence with their banter had died down just a little.

Sage snorted out a laugh, though now he was blushing too. He had something planned to say, something to respond and get her even more flustered, but his brain went blank once she teased him back. Ugh, why was he so easily flustered? He could talk smooth, until she responded back with something. "Well, you'll have to come visit me at the tavern then," he giggled after a bit. She would know what he was implying....he'd definitely work rooms if it was for her. She knew that, and if her mom would let her sneak out or she could get out without anyone knowing, then they could have some time to act like the dumb teenagers they were together.
