Sage slept for a while after Mari, though eventually stirred as he woke up, but honestly was still half asleep so he simply curled up into his wife a bit more and settled down happily. It was still warm and cozy, and still somewhat early, so he was more than content to let himself drift in and out of sleep for a while. He'd wake up eventually, but for now...well, this was nice. Mari hadn't been getting up right away for the past week or so, and he found himself quite enjoying it. It was nice, to wake up with her.

The woman gave a small smile when she felt the boy shift next to her, and sort of moved to slide down next to him. She had to admit, it was nice just relaxing for a while... maybe she was just getting old. Who knew. The thought amused her, but soon moved to peck his cheek with a playful hum. "Morning babe," she mused softly before running her hand gently though his hair. "You feeling ok," she asked quietly enough so that she was sure it wouldn't wake him up all too much.

Sage sort of hummed back at Mari when she greeted him, and mumbled some form of unintelligible good morning before burying his face in her chest again, honestly still mostly asleep at that point. But he leaned into her touch anyway as she went to run her hand through his hair, just glad to be able to have time like this to spend with her. He only dimly understood what she was saying, but he figured his effort to greet her was normal enough she'd know he was fine.

Mari smiled softly when the boy moved to bury into her, but patted his back softly when he murmured a morning. She sort of just hummed in thought, not quite sure what to do with herself. She didn't want to get up just yet though. She pecked the top of his head before gently poking his side. "We can't sleep in every day babe," she mused gently. It was still early... and they didn't really have to be up on a normal day at this time, but she was itching for something to do. And right then, she just wanted to annoy Sage a little... he was right there, and why not?

Sage sort of huffed out a contented breath of air when she patted his back, though groaned in response to her comment. "Yes we can," he sort of groaned, though his voice was muffled by her dress. He let out a sort of whine when he felt he looked his side, but it didn't tickle as much as it normally did... probably because his brain was still half asleep. It was a slightly amusing thought, but he didn't put much thought into it. It was much too early for that, in his opinion.

Mari looked over at him with a little grin at his groan before poking his ribs again. "Hun, no we can't," she mused gently before going to run her nails lightly along his side... there was a time what she would have been able to feel every single one of his ribs... and she was just glad they'd been able to build a life together where it didn't stay like that. He was the healthiest he'd been in... well, a long time. She couldn't say she wasn't proud of him. She sort of tried to tickle his side after a moment. "We have things to do," she cooed softly. Well, they didn't really have anything that needed doing now but she could tease all the same.

Sage whined when she poked him again, and peeked up at her from where he was buried into her chest, a half asleep pout on his face. "Yes we can," he grumbled. "We have nothing to do," he added, yelping when she poked him again and moving to just wrap his legs around her too so she was pretty well stuck in place. "No we don't," he whined. "Now sit still and let me cuddle in peace," he added with a sort of chuckle. In all honesty, he was still tired enough she could get loose if she really wanted to, but whatever.

Mari groaned when he sort of got trapped by him, but stilled before sort of struggling to get out of his hold. Really, she was just messing around, suddenly in a very playful mood... Sage did just seem tired though. She huffed out an exasperated breath before moving still. "Sageee," she complained after a moment before huffing out another breath. "Babe I'm bored," she complained with a sort of amused chuckle, though kept her voice at a sort of whisper... she was in a very annoying mood, though didn't really want to bother him to the point that he was upset with her or anything.

Sage groaned when she wriggled around, and then huffed out a breath when she said she was bored, opening his eyes to sort of pout at her. "you are a cruel human being," he grumbled. "Go bother the kids," he added with a sort of chuckle, though he obviously wasn't upset with her or anything. It was more amusing than anything else ...but he was admittedly still half asleep so she'd have a chore of waking him up if she actually wanted to do anything.

The girl groaned after a moment and sort of pouted at him. "If I wake the kids up now they're gonna be up for hours... and they'll probably wake you up anyway," she groaned. She rolled her eyes and sort of flopped onto her back. "What happened to the spontaneity in our marriage," she complained with a soft chuckle. She then sat up with a huff of air, then grinned as a thought crossed her mind. "Right, I'm off to find that ugly old lord thats gonna spoil me," she mused lightly as she went to roll out of bed. She was just messing around... Sage wasn't very receptive, but she was just trying to entertain herself at this point.
