Sage hummed lightly and nodded when she suggested taking the boy out with him. "I could do that," he agreed. "He'd probably like a job to do at the barns anyway," he admitted lightly. He would be more than happy to spend time with his son anyway. He laughed at her comments though, giving her a grin and snatching the cookie from her, nibbling at it. "I'll take a cookie," he mused with a laugh and slight shake of his head. He'd wrapped his arms around her by then, more than happy to just relax with her for a bit.

Mari smiled lightly when he agreed. Liz could go out too, but she had a feeling she wouldn't find it overly interesting. She was too young to be spending a lot of time and working around the young animals anyway. In a few years though, she'd probably rather enjoy being around the ward with the doctor. She hummed happily when he said he'd enjoy himself, and flashed him a little grin. She pouted when he grabbed the cookie off her, though, and gave a small chuckle. "Well, as long as you're happy," she mused, a little chuckle escaping her when he wrapped his arms back around her. She pecked his cheek and sort of flopped down against him again, sort of swinging her legs over so that she was sat back on his lap again.

Sage just grinned over at his wife when she moved to flop back on top of him, shifting slightly so they were both comfortable. "hey, your cooking always makes me very happy," he noted with a laugh, finishing off the cookie and then just settling down with a sort of content sigh, humming happily in response to her peck, pressing another kiss To her head happily, leaving his nose nestled in her hair .

Mari gave a small smile at his little comment, and sort of moved to nestle into him. "I'm glad because I work hard!" She mused softly. She sort of found herself running her nails softly up and down his arm, a grin spreading across her face after a moment. "How happy," she teased with a childish sort of giggle. They needed to go out and do something at some point... Sage had a lot going on, with the horses, and he was clearly worried about Anya too. Mari had to admit that she was a little bit concerned, though it was more about what the future would hold than anything. She sighed softly and sort of moved to peck his shoulder as she moved to curl into him a little bit more.

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comment and patted her back. "Well it's always fabulous," he chirped. And he was being completely honest too....she really was the best cook around. Anything she made was always amazing. Though, at her next comment, he hummed as if thinking and then shrugged. "Well, I feel pretty happy," he noted with a chuckle, squeezing her momentarily when she curled in, nestling into the couch happily. "I'm gonna have to spoil you a little bit sometime soon," he mused after a moment. He was busy, yes, but he could make time for his wife.

Mari grinned at his compliment, and sort of moved to peck his lips happily. "As long as you're happy I suppose," she hummed, rolling her eyes in a playful manner. It always made her feel good when he said something like that... it was a small thing, but it did mean a lot to her. More than he could ever really know. He said that sort of thing all the time, too. She wasn't sure why it made her so... elated. Yeah, that was a suitable word she supposed. She gave a soft smile at his next comment, though just relaxed when he squeezed her. She raised a brow at him after a moment and gave a slight chuckle. "You don't need to spoil me, you know that," she mused softly to him. "You're the one who does all the work for us," she chuckled, sort of moving to press a light kiss to his lips.

Sage hummed happily in response to her comments, giving her his normal dumb grin in response to her kiss. He wasn't sure why he still got so happy whenever she hugged him or kissed him or really showed any kind of physical affection towards him....which was kind of stupid, in his opinion, since they'd been married for...a long while by then. But he didn't mind it, not at all. Though, at her comment, he huffed out a breath. "You do plenty of work yourself," he protested. "and you're my wife, and I love you, so yes I absolutely have to spoil you," he chirped, resting his head on hers lightly, grin widening when she kissed him again.

Mari just nestled into him after smiling at his grin, more than happy to just relax for a little bit. She found that she enjoyed their time together now more than ever. She wasn't sure why. She knew she could be clingy anyway, though it seemed she was trying to cling to him just a little more now. It seemed stupid, and she knew that, but she just wanted him to keep on loving her the way he always had. Nothing had changed, and nothing would change, but when she thought about it it did amuse her. She gave an amused chuckle and focused on running her hand gently up his arm. "You go do all the hard stuff. I make work for myself that isn't actually there now," she mused playfully. She grinned at his next comment before cocking her head lightly. "Well how are you planning on spoiling me? I need to decide if I even want to be spoilt, you know," she mused playfully.

Sage hummed lightly in response to her comments, shaking his head slightly. "I dunno, managing the kids all day counts as hard work," he noted with a sort of chuckle, pecking her head slightly. At her comment though, he huffed out a breath and shook his head. "What if I want it to be a surprise," he whined, though he didn't care what she knew. He didn't even care what they did, really. "I could always go find that apron and wear ti to bed," he joked after a moment, snickering along with the comment. It really would probably never happen, but even so he coould joke around some.

Mari rolled her eyes at him before giving a small chuckle. "It was hard work. Unfortunately, we're raising very good kids and they're easy," she mused lightly. She was proud of them... in truth, she could very easily talk about how proud she was of them for hours. They were growing up too quickly, and she could only appreciate that they were growing into good people. She hummed softly when he pecked her head, and glanced up at him with a cocked head. "You don't do surprises," she mused lightly to him, an amused chuckle escaping her. She then grinned and moved to peck his lips lightly. "You did surprise me this morning, though. Shame you got interrupted, hm?" She purred, though there was more laughter in her voice than anything. She then flashed him an amused look before slowly shaking her head as she sort of looked him up and down, studying him really. "I doubt it would cover the important bits," she giggled. "It barely covered my hips nerves mind you," she added with a laugh.
