Sage chuckled softly when he noted Maris grin, tucking his nose into the crook of her neck happily. She'd gone quiet by then, so he let himself pass out soon after that....which was definitely nice. He'd had a good day though...they all had. He'd enjoyed spending time with Silas, and they got Anya some help she needed, and now he and Mari had their own bout. And now he could pass out and sleep deeply, with no dreams of any kind. It was nice. He was still out cold when Mari woke, though when she shifted he sort of subconsciously curled a bit tighter around her.

Mari settled down a little bit, still very much awake but just trying to ease herself into the idea of actually get up. She sighed softly and sort of turned to wrap her arms gently around Sages sides when he curled around her a little more. She buried her nose into his hair after a moment, a little hum escaping her. It was a bit later now, and she was sort of tired, but comfortable she supposed. Sage, though, did have horses to see to. She gently pecked the top of his head, her thumb softly running down the side of his back. "Babe you should get up," she murmured softly.

Sage was quite obviously still asleep, though at her comment he sort of groaned and shifted slightly, but it was more of a nestling down into Mari and the warm covers than waking up movement. He'd dimly heard her voice, but once he settled down he slipped back off into sleep again, not really worrying too much about what she'd said. If she was still in bed nothing emergent was happening so he could stay right where he was at. Not that much was going on in his mind as of then...but she didn't seem worried or anything so he didn't put much effort into doing ..well, anything, admittedly.

Mari hummed softly when she felt him nestle in, though chuckled and gave him a little squeeze. Well, if he wasn't worried then she supposed she wasn't either. She felt a little smile when she thought about it. They had no reason in the world to be worried. Well, other than the impending death of the king and queen but... they didn't really have to worry. Not that much, anyway. Hopefully everything to do with that would go smoother than expected. But they'd worked hard to build a life this peaceful. Sage had worked harder than anyone, she knew that, and she couldn't help but be grateful for it. She moved to gently kiss his head, and sort of just melted into him comfortably.

Sage had just settled in again, and since Mari made no further moves to wake him, he figured it was definitly fine for him to stay right where he was. He was staying in a soemwhat lighter sleep now, but that was fine. It was certainly peaceful. He probably thought the same thign every morning, really....but it was true, and he was just very grateful for it. To have a life where he could relax with his wife, and wake up slowly to a family who loved him and he could love back. It really was just a dream come true...one he still felt like was some kind of fever dream at times. But it wasn't, and he was quite happy about it. When Mari pecked his head, he let out a quiet hum, still mostly asleep but doing his best to respond at least a little bit to his wife.

Mari smiled softly to him after a little while. They were comfortable, and she was certainly content to let him relax. She soon slipped back off to sleep, relaxed and content with herself. The kids were a little older now, and they were able to relax without rounding them up. They were lucky things had ended up so week, and that they'd ever given eachother even the chance to get along. She sighed softly and moved to peck the top of his head and wrapped around him happily.

Sage had sort of grunted when he felt her curl around him again, but he was pretty well passed back out by then so he didn't give it much thought. He was just glad to be able to do that. He could still remember clearly having to go to bed late, wake up early, and work his ass off all day in between. Hell, he could still clearly remember not getting to sleep, and old habits still came up now and then. Things were a little more relaxed now...though he still worked his ass off for his family, it just wast as extreme. And he did enjoy doing it ....he wanted them to be safe and happy and not have to do much for themselves. He wanted the kids to learn of course....but not the way he'd had to learn and grow up.

Mari rested for a little while, at least until she heard the kids feet pattering around the house. She sort of slowly woke up, turning over and sort of dragging the covers from Sage as she tried to settle back down. She knew they had to get up now, they did have things to do, but she could at very least rest for a little while, wake up slowly and such. The kids wouldn't burn the house down for a little while, anyway... hopefully.

Sage sort of groaned when he felt Mari take the blankets more towards her side of the bed and moved to roll with her, limpeting around her as he tried to get back into the warmth that she'd taken with her. "They'll be fine for a few more minutes," he sort of slurred, definitely not ready or willing to get up quite yet. The kids were old enough to get breakfast for themselves if they were hungry enough, and if they needed something they'd come ask. So for now it was fine to relax a bit more.

Mari gave a soft hum when she felt the man tried to roll with her, though she was very much curled up under the covers now, not necessarily tired, but waking up slowly. Sage was right, they'd be alright for a few minutes... but it was sort of her job to look after them. She let out about her huff of air and rolled into him a little, wrapping a leg around his side and flopping her head into his chest as she tried to just wake up slowly.
