Sage had ate quickly, then said bye to the family before heading out the door. Normally Silas came along with him, but he'd decided to let the boy continue to play with his sister today. Besides, if he got done at the barn quickly the he could go check in on Anya and say hi to att and Luther. Make sure everything was going good down at the castle. And then hopefully, he'd be back before dinner....that's was always nice. He enjoyed eating meals with his family, saying goodnight to the kids, that sort of thing.

Mari buzzed around the house happily, cleaning up after the kids then eventually making her way upstairs to tidy all their rooms up and get some washing done. She had a feeling that Sage would go straight back towards the castle before coming in, so made sure he had some clean clothing for him to get comfortable in whenever he came back. She changed the sheets and the likes before settling down and getting some of Sages finished art sent off, then had Liz groom Amber for a little bit.

Sage had taken care of the horses and finished up at the barn before noon, so he decided to take one of the more green colts out to ride down to the castle. Chaos was enjoying himself in the paddock, and this one needed to be ridden. He had a bit more time than usual, so he decided to take this one. So, he slipped the saddle and bridle on the horse, since most people used tack and he had to get used to it, and lunged him for a bit before hopping on and working at managing the horse until he calmed a bit and they could canter off towards the castle. When he got there, he took the colt down to the barns himself, since this one was....a lot to handle. He didn't quite trust the guards. Besides, of att was down there, he wanted to say hello.

Atticus was sat in Luther's stable, just reading to catch up on some of his schooling. It was boring stuff, but se equally knew that it'd be useful at some point. He didn't know when that'd be, but at some point. Plus, it was nice to just relax for a little while with his colt. They'd hadn't don't much other desensitisation and a bit of lunging, but the colt was still young so they didn't have to do too much. They didn't want to break him, either. He suppose reading out here for him out of his room, though, and that was nice.

Sage had wandered down to the barn searching for an empty stall to settle the colt in, though he eventually figured the animal would be better out in a small paddock or round pen, as he was still hot and was skittering about. He'd knocked over a bucket and pretty well freaked out, which sage corrected gently before tugging him down and along the barn isle slowly, the stuff colt gradually relaxing a bit behind him. As soon as they entered the paddock, the horse had tried to take off, but sage checked him, chiding the horse with a " hey, hey, hey, don't be an ass," waiting for the colt to calm down a bit before he unhooked the bridle from him and released him with a sigh, hanging the tack on the gate after he'd closed it. He'd seen att on the way in, so hed go say hi and leave him he after of he was busy.

Atti sat for a little while working on some sort of sheet Anya had thrown at him. He spotted Sage and a bit of a grin crossed his face, though when he saw him struggling with the younger horse he sort of stayed back to let him deal with it before popping his head over the door with a bit of a grin when he saw him wandering back through the stables. "That's not your normal ride," he chirped lightly to him after a moment or two.

Sage chuckled when he saw att, greeting the boy happily. "I figured this one could use some training out and about," he noted, moving to wander over to the stall the boy was in, patting Luther when he stuck his head out of the door. There was hay in the horses fetlock, so he reached over to run his fingers through the hair, getting rid of all the straw. "He's getting big," he mused fondly, then eyed att. "So are you," he added lightly. The boy was growing up for sure....and he was maturing physically. He was nearly as tall as sage was now. "You know if you grow to be taller than me I might have to cut your legs off at the knee," he joked lightly, just glad to see the boy again.

The boy poked his head a little further to look at the young horse Sage had ridden over, a small chuckle escaping him after a moment. "Looks like he needs it," he mused lightly. When Luther popped his head over the door, he gave a small chuckle. "He's gonna be big. Measured him the other day... should end up about seventeen hands. And he's pretty thick set so he's gonna be a tank," he chirped, obviously thrilled with the horse. And amused hum escaped him after a moment, and sort of stood up a little straighter. "I think I might already be taller than you, you know," he laughed, patting the colt on the neck before slipping out the stable.

Sage snorted lightly in response to the boys comment about the colt, nodding with a sigh. "He's gonna be a tough one," he mused. "Luckily for him, I'm more stubborn than him," he added in a rather amused manner. Though, as the boy talked about his own horse, he nodded happily. "I had a feeling he'd be big enough to carry you when you put on all that armor and wander around like a tin head," he teased lightly before wrinkling his nose and standing up as tall as he could when the boy challenged him about his height. "You definitely are not," he huffed. He was obviously amused, though, and it was nice to see the kid. He shifted out of the way so att could get out of the stall, giving the colt one more pat before wandering down the hall with att. Edited at September 13, 2024 06:57 PM by NightClan

The boy gave a little grin after a moment and shrugged a little. "I mean, you'd dlet with Chaos for years, this one can't be too bad," he mused lightly. He then cocked his head after a moment and gave a small chuckle. "Tim head ain't the word of use, but that's the jist of it," he added lightly. He wandered along the hall next the older man before shrugging again. "One day I will be," he mused lightly. He then raised a brow at him with a cocked head. "You just dropping in then?" He asked lightly.
