Sage nodded lightly and gave the girl a grin when she agreed, figuring that would be fine. "We have plenty of time," he mused lightly, alibet somewhat sleepily, now that he'd just been relaxing for a while. And, the way Mari had been running her hand up and down his side was admittedly putting him to sleep rather well, despite the fact that he wasn't a child or anything anymore. It was amusing really, but after a moment he sort of sighed and moved to get up, pecking her forehead lightly. "I'm heading to bed," he mused softly before moving to pad upstairs and flop onto the bed with a sigh. She could join him now or later, he didn't much care.

The woman looked over at him when he said he was gonna go to bed, her brows furrowing and a soft smile crossing her face. "Night," she murmured softly. She supposed it just felt right to be quiet. It was getting late, though, so she'd probably end up heading to bed at some point. Just not right now. She was happy reading for now. She'd get to bed at some point. (verryyy short, I'm on the run)

(you're all good lol) Sage hummed lightly and kissed the woman goodnight before moving upstairs and curling up under the covers with a huff of contentment. Mari would be up when she was ready, but he'd had a long day, and he was tired. So it didn't take him long to pass out, once he got settled. It had been nice to curl up with Mari for a while though, before falling asleep. And besides....now the bed would be warm by the time she got upstairs. It was a rather amusing thought, if nothing else.

The woman was up for probably another hour or two... it was one in the morning next time she looked at the clock, and a soft sigh escaped her before she finally gave in and wandered up the stairs to bed. She flopped down almost instantly, curling up herself under the covers and settling down. She was still awake, though just... resting now, she supposed. Sleep had definitely been getting harder as time went on, though she managed to fill her time she supposed. Now, though, when sleep finally washed over her, she settle down and nodded off comfortably.

Sage was out cold by the time Mari slipped into their bedroom and curled in under the blankets with him, but he sort of subconsciously shifted so he was wrapped around her loosely, settling down after a moment with a soft huff of air. She'd been going to bed later and later it seemed, but they'd also been sleeping in a bit more, so he supposed it wasn't completely odd. She wasn't doing as much work either, so no doubt not having to run after kids all day have you more energy. He didn't mind ...she never really woke him or anything.

The woman slept for a little while, though woke up early morning with a soft huff of air and made her way down to get some breakfast on. It was still early by the time she'd finished, so settled down to eat herself before going to pop the plates in the oven to keep them warm for her family. It was an odd feeling, being so full of energy but at the same time not wanting to do anything but sit down and read, or... something. A little groan escaped her, and she soon found herself perched on the table reading the mornings news. It was pretty boring, really. Nothing of interest was going on at all.

Sage slept well, though when he woke around nine or so, and noticed Mari was already up, he sort of huffed out a breath and flopped back down, laying around for a few more minutes before dragging himself out of bed. He may as well just get up and start getting stuff done. So, he wandered down to the kitchen after a bit, combing his fingers through his hair, which was still a wild mess as of that point. He'd get ready later, but he was still half asleep as of right then. He noticed Mari after a bit, and he moved to plop down in a chair next to her with a soft huff or air. "Any life changing events happening I don't know about," he mused sleepily.

The woman was sat around for a little while, and gave a little smile when Sage wandered down the stairs. She grabbed the now warm plate of food out the oven and plopped it infront of him with a smile. She hummed in thought before giving a small shake of the head. "Only if life changing means the castle is hiring," she mused softly, rolling her eyes before going to start washing up so that she was ontop of it all. Once she was done she sort of wandered up behind him to massage his shoulders with a huff of air. "Sage hunny, do you have anything you need doing?" She asked with a soft chuckle. "I'm getting impatient in the house," she added in amusement.

Sage thanked the girl with a yawn when she handed him breakfast, sort of slowly working away at it as he woke up, as he normally did. He snorted in response to her comment about the castle and rolled his eyes. "The castles always hiring," he noted in a sort of amused tone. There was always something that needed to be done there, and never enough people 'worthy' of doing it. There were only so many middle of upper class citizens willing to scrub out the castle toilets, for example. It just wasn't something most people wanted to do. He hummed softly in respomsw to her next comment though, leaning into her hands with a sort of sigh and shake of his head. "I don't think so, unless you want to wander out to the horses with me," he noted. "Organize the tack room or something." He wasn't really sure what work would be something she'd want to do...and she already handled a lot of the art stuff. But it was amusing that she was getting bored around the house. "you need to find hobbies," he noted in a teasing sort of way, peering up at her. "I told Anya the same thing," he added with a chuckle.

The woman sort of hummed in response to him, then sort of moved to let her hand hang down on his chest and rested her chin on his head. "Hmm... I suppose it's not a life changing event, huh?" She teased softly before rolling her eyes with a small chuckle. The thought did amuse her. She sighed and moved to peck the top of his head lightly. "Yeah, I'll come with you in a bit," she mused softly before letting out a heavy breath when he told her she needed a hobby. "Not really. I can only do so much at the moment, when the kids are home," she mused gently to him. She then shook her head lightly. "The difference is that Anya is self destructive," she mused lightly to him, then a soft chuckle escaped her. "And I'm too old to find a hobby now," she teased in a playful manner.
