Sage nodded when she said he could join her, and he moved to plop down on some of the cushions next to her with a grunt. He nodded again when she mentioned taking a break, glancing over at her desk. "Looks like you're staying on top of things well from here," he mused lightly, before chuckling at her next comment and giving her a grin. "What, I can't just stop by for no reason and see you just because i like you," he teased her. "Mari and the kids went to Edith's," he explained after a moment. "Figured I'd stop by while I had time," he added. "Mari said to ask you what food you'd want for dinner," he added after a moment or so, having just rememebred it.

The woman nodded and gave a small smile in response to him. "Im trying to, as much as I can over the last day or so," she mused. She then looked over at him with a slightly raised brow. "I mean, people normally don't stay around just because they can," she then hummed. "Less people stay around because they like me, but that's self inflicted," she reasoned with a small chuckle. She then nodded in understanding when he said his family had gone over to see their grandmother. She hummed thoughtfully when he noted his wife was planning for their dinner. "I don't mind much... maybe Lasagne? Something like that," she mused.

Sage hummed softly when she mentioned she'd been working a bit. "Well, you seem to be figuring this out at least," he noted. "You don't seem quite so stressed as before." Though, at her next comments he chuckled and shrugged, giving her a bit of a grin. "Hey, visiting with you isn't that bad," he laughed, before nodding in thought when she mentioned the food. "simple enough," he mused. "Besides, Maris lasagne is the best I've ever had," he chirped lightly.

Anya gave a small hum of agreement, a little chuckle escaping her as she settled down into the chair she was on. "I've been feeling better," she murmured softly. In truth, it had probably been really helpful to have him around... it just meant that she could let it all out onto him. Doing that made her feel so, so much better after everything. She felt lighter, and she still didn't feel as good as normal... at least it was better than it was. She then flashed him a gentle smile. "I'm excited to try it then," she hummed softly.

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comment, leaning back against the wall that was behind him and letting out a content sigh. "you look better," he mused with a nod, sort of just looking out over the town. He could see the tavern off in the distance, and he did sometimes miss it out there. There was something about living on the streets that was ...nice, despite how bad it seemed. He wouldn't go back, now that he had a family and all....but he did think about it often. Anyas comment brought him back to reality though, and he grinned over at her. "lasagne tomorrow for dinner it is then," he mused happily.

The woman gave a small smile in response to him, her chest rising and falling heavily after a moment. She sighed looked over to him with a playful grin. "Well, you look better too," she teased gently. She then gave him a nod of approval. "You're sure your family will be alright with me coming over? They don't know me very welll," she murmured softly to him, her brow slightly raised. She didn't know them, either. She was worried... she wasn't good with children, and she didn't get along very well with Mari, either.

Sage chuckled in response to her comment, an eyebrow raising slightly. "I don't know that I ever looked bad," he joked, pretending to be offended by the comment. He obviously wasn't, and he'd take the compliment happily, but still he could tease. He nodded with a light hum when she made sure they would be ok with it. "Don't worry, if Mari wasn't ok with it I wouldn't have invited you," he pointed out, nudging the girl with his elbow gently. "And the kids will probably be glad to have some company. They've heard stories of our adventures you know, and they think you're amazing. Especially Liz," he mused fondly. The kids were old enough to act correctly though, too, so it wasn't like they'd be hanging all over her. "Silas might talk your ear off though," he laughed after a moment, making a fond face as he wrinkled his nose slightly. "I'm not sure the kid stops talking even when he's asleep," he joked lightly.

The woman gave a small chuckle in response to his teasing, then rolled her eyes. "I've always thought you looked just fine. Maybe minus those times I found you on the streets," she mused lightly, then let out a soft breath when he mentioned his family would be alright with it. She supposed it would be nice just to get out the castle grounds for a while. "Well, I don't know what your family dynamic is. You could be lying to me and I might just show up to your very pissed off wife, then what?!" She joked. A little smile crossed her lips when he mentioned the children. She'd never really met them. She's occasionally seen Silas when he was very little, but other than that she knew nothing of either of them. "I'm excited to meet them," she hummed softly.

Sage chuckled softly and then gave her a grin in response to her comments. "I thought you found me ruggedly handsome at the time," he huffed, really just messing around. He chuckled again when she mentioned Mari, and shook his head. "Believe me, I don't want to make Mari mad. Even I know better than that," he mused with a laugh. "I'm excited to introduce them to you," he chirped lightly.

The woman hummed as if contemplating her reponse, then chuckled softly. "You know just fine what I thought of you," she mused. She gave a soft sigh before shaking her head. It was a little odd imagining Sage being concerned about making anyone mad. She supposed a lot had changed. She then gave a small smile to him and stood up to wander back into her room. "Well at least I'm not going to be stood awkwardly while you two argue," she mused. She flashed him a bit of a grin. "They sound like good kids," she hummed happily.
