Sage gave Anya a grin and nod, pressing a brotherly kiss to her cheek before hopping back on the carriage, chaos prancing along eagerly. He caught atts eye as he moved passed, so he lifted his hand in a wave and winked at the boy as he moved out of the gate. The boy was in the castle, so he was probably supposed to be either a, getting ready for bed, or b, doing homework of some kind, and he didn't want to distract him, so he didn't linger. Besides....he did want to get home. Chaos's brisk pace got him there soon enough, and once he settled the stallion and coddled him for a bit, he wandered back to the house, greeted by Amber at the front porch. He scooped the car up and wandered inside happily.

Anya gave a small smile to him, though waved and wandered off to get... something done. She'd have a nice evening, though, even if it was short.
Mari was settled down on the couch, being that the kids were in bed and she'd finished clearing up for dinner. It had been quiet... the kids seemed to enjoy Anya's company quite a bit, too. Sage was happy. She was happy too. She glanced over at the door when her husband walked through it, and hummed a greeting to the cat he was holding.

Sage sort of chuckled at Maris greeting, raising his eyebrows slightly. "What am I, chopped liver," he mused lightly, really just teasing her. "If I don't know better, I would think you loved the cat more than me," he added, eyes glittering as he moved to lean over to peck her lips in greeting and then plop down next to her on the couch with a content sigh. He'd had a wonderful day, really....messing with the horses and att, showing his family off to Anya....and seeing Anya happy and out and about was also nice. Mari looked up at him, a little grin crossing her face at his peck. She sort of shrugged at his comment, an amused grunt escaping her. "You're incredibly insignificant to me," she mused softly to him. She leaned against him happily when he plopped down next to her, and went to give the little animal a fuss before resting her head on his shoulder with a bit of a chuckle. "And I do love this bloody cat," she mused playfully.

Sage sort of chuckled in response to her comment, giving her a mock pout in response to her comment. "fine, no cuddles for you then," he huffed, though he nestled in with her happily anyway. "I do recall you telling me you weren't competing for my love with the cat. Now it seems I've been replaced," he added with a sort of snicker, really just amused by the whole thing.

Mari glanced up at him with an amused shrug. "I'm not complaining. The cat will give me cuddles, I'm sure," she hummed as though in thought. She sort of chuckled and rolled her eyes at him. "What can I say, I spend more time with the cat than you," she teased. "I'm not competing for your love babe. You can compete a little though," she mused gently, moving to peck his cheek playfully.

Sage sort of huffed out a breath at Maris comments, though couldn't help but chuckle, amused at it all. "Well I'll fight for your love if I must, my dear," he mused lightly, pecking her cheek before letting his head rest on the back of the couch with a sort of sigh. It was getting late, and so he supposed they should be getting ready for bed soon. But he didn't mind sitting around with Mari for a while, not at all.

Mari let out a soft breath of air, the whole conversation amusing her more than anything. She looked over at him with a little grin at his comment, watching as he flopped his head back on the couch. She sort of just stared for a second before grinning leaning over to press a light kiss to his lips. "I don't think you've got a lot of fighting to do," she mused to him. She took a glance before sighing. It was getting late now... and in truth she was getting a little tired now anyway.

Sage felt a grin cross his face when he felt her lips press against his, humming happily and then shaking his head in slight amusement in response to her comment. "Good, because I'm not sure I have enough energy to beat amber in a fight right now," he joked lightly, opening his eyes and moving to peck her cheek before getting up with a sigh. "I'm gonna shower and get ready for bed," he noted tiredly, carrying amber upstairs with him then letting her loose after a quick kiss so he could shower quick, winding up in bed soon enough.

The woman grinned at his comment, a little crackle escaping her throat when he pecked her cheek. She watched him get up with a soft huff of air. "I'll see you in a minute," she hummed gently. She waited until she heard the shower turn off before waddling upstairs to get showered, though eventually flopped down in bed, pretty much just limpeting right onto Sage with a soft huff of air, and sort of buried her nose into his neck to get comfortable. "God where have you been my whole life," she complained playfully to him, really just messing about a little. Edited at October 24, 2024 06:21 AM by Belle
