Sage hummed softly and nodded. "It's really been nice working with them," he hummed lightly, alibet a little sleepily now that he was home and such. When she mentioned the king and Queen, he sighed with a shrug. "Still hanging on, but barely," her mused with a small shake of his head. He did wonder how much longer it would be. As Mari wandered off to get the kids ready, he moved upstairs to shower. It did seem odd though... He never thought he'd see Anyas coronation. What she'd do with the country. And now it seemed like it would be any day.

Mari went to get the kids sorted, still wondering about what would be happening with the throne. They had no heir... Anya wasn't getting any younger. Yes, Atticus was around, but he wasn't exactly legitimate as far as children went. It was all so odd to think about. Soon enough, Silas and Liz were in bed comfortably, and Mari was able to go and get changed. She wandered into the bedroom where Sage was to brush her teeth and wash her face, though sort of caught herself watching him through the mirror. She felt a light brush cross her face before rolling her eyes, an amused laugh escaping her. Edited at December 8, 2024 01:07 PM by Belle

Sage moved to just shower and such, knowing he was sort of gross after the horses and then horses at the castle and such. So, he figured Mari would want him clean by the time he got into their bed. When she wandered in, he hummed a sort of greetign to her before drying off and moving to get dressed. He caught her chuckle and he glanced over at her with a grin. "What," he asked with a sort of chuckle of his own, tugging his shirt over his head and then moving to yank a brush through his hair quick.

Mari shrugged and washed her face off once she'd brushed her teeth, chucking the toothbrush in the cup with a bit of a grin. "Nothing much," she mused as she went to peck his cheek happily. She then sort of cocked her head at him for a moment before grinning at him. "You're just so handsome," she teased, seemingly just happy to have a bit of time in the quiet with him. She sort of jumped up on the counter and sat for a moment before grabbing the brush off him when he was done and putting it through her own hair.

Sage rolled his eyes in response to her comment, though gave her an amused grin and pecked her head lightly. "You're rediculous," he teased gently, handing the brush over to her and then brushing his own teeth before wandering out to the bed, flopping onto it with a tired but content sounding sigh, waiting for her to join him.

The woman wrinkled her nose at him, rolling her eyes at him. "Alright then, you're not handsome," she mused as she followed him into the bedroom, flopping down happily. She looked at him for a moment. "Half of your face got blasted years ago, and I mean look at the rest of you," she mused, pressing another kiss to his cheek. "Most unattractive man in the universe," she huffed dramatically as she gently poked his ribs. By then, though, she'd curled up with her head on his shoulder to get comfortable.

Sage Sept of rolled his eyes when she moved on, wrinkling his nose in amusement as she poked at him, wriggling slightly with a chuckle. "Yeah, I took that instead of it hitting our sons head," he noted, poking her back. "At least I can throw a mean punch, that's gotta count for something," he noted, clearly joking around, as they were settling down by now, ready for bed. But he could tease a little bit.

Mari grinned, a soft chuckle escaping her after a moment, it was nice... just to relax with her husband. Mess around. She ran her hand over the side of his face before leaning in to touch her lips with his briefly. "Much rather it be you than your first born son," she mused lightly. He didn't look bad at all - she told him that. He knew. She scoffed at his next comment, though. "Yeah... unfortunately violence like that doesn't turn me on the way it does you," she mused softly.

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comment, kissing her back lightly before settling down with a light hum. "I'd like to keep my child whole," he agreed," with a slight nod. It had been scary....those few days ...but they'd come out of it alright. Though, her next comment pulled a light laugh from him and he just gave her a grin. "And yet I somehow managed to turn you on either way," he noted with amusement. He really wasn't sure how he did it, but he'd take it.

The woman rolled her eyes at him, really more amused by all this than anything. "I love our kids," she mused lightly. They were growing all to quickly, too... Silas would be eleven soon, and Liz was nearing nine quickly. They still seemed like babies to her. They were still so innocent, and she hoped to keep it that way. She groaned at his next comment, though. "I dunno. I think it's this whole ruggedly handsome thing you have going on," she mused, sort of tapping his chest as though in thought.
