Mari felt a little hum escape her at his comment as and sort of shrugged. "I'm not too worried, babe," she mused lightly, resting her head on his shoulder. "I'm not the one who as to be out in it," she added with a bit of a chuckle. The rain would be good... but it wasn't great when it came with thunder and lightning. Their children were perfect in every way, but, they were a little flighty. Like their father, she supposed. They didn't like storms much at all. None of them did. It was rather amusing when they all crawled into one bed trying to protect eachother from the sounds that they all hated. She felt a soft chuckle escape her at that thought, though let out s soft breath. She moved to play with his hair gently, a little smile crossing her face. "What are you wanting for dinner?" She asked happily.

Sage chuckled softly in response to Mari's comment, giving her a sort of grin. "I made sure to finish before it started raining," he agreed. "I pity any poor soul who is out there right now," he added, thinking back to how cold you became when it rained and you just couldn't find anywhere warm or dry, no matter how ahrd you looked or how much you moved. The cold would just seep into your very bones. And the thunder and lightning didn't help much. Of course, he still jumped every now and again, the storms making him nervous and all. He was better than he was, but he still defintiely didn't like them at all, even if he knew they did need the rain. He hummed when Mari mentioned dinner, and shrugged. "Some kind of soup or stew would be nice," he hummed. It was that sort of day.

Mari grinned softly to him before moving to peck his cheek. "I well lucky you've gotten in now, huh," she chirped lightly. She nodded at his suggestion of dinner and hopped out to put a broth of for them. It would be nice, she supposed. It wasn't long until she got bowls at, making the kids settle down at the table. She'd had Sage put the fire on at some point, to keep the rain from settling in the roof but also just to keep warm in. Once everyone had finished up, she helped put the kids to bed before flopping down on the couch, sort of watching the black clouds in the distance edge closer and closer.

Sage chuckled softly and nodded in response to her comment. "I'm quite glad I'm in here and not out there," he agreed with a bit of a chuckle, moving to set the table and help get dinner ready before rounding the kids up and shooing them to the kitchen. They are quickly, since it was getting late by then, and he cleaned up dinner while Mari settled them down for bed. He wandered over to her when she plopped into the couch, moving to sit down next to her happily with a soft sigh.

Mari gave a small smile to the man when he settled down next to her, flopping her head back against the couch with a heavy sigh. She was still exhausted from the day prior. She didn't know what to do with herself a lot of the time, but she supposed she had too much to think about. Their family really was perfect - and she supposed that if anything happened to them, she'd be livid. She didn't even think Sage knew the extent of the things she would do for him. She looked over at him after a moment and sort of moved to peck his lips, hee hand staying on his cheek with a grin. "Go get showered beast. It might turn you into a handsome prince if you're lucky," she mused. "Then we can sleep for once," she added with s chuckle.

Sage had just relaxed onto the couch, Maris sigh bringing a smile to his face as he agreed with the unspoken words. At her comment though, he chuckled softly and gave her a grin. "I dunno, maybe I prefer the beast form," he mused lightly. "I could definitely scare the crap out of people roaming around in the woods at night," he added mischievously, but moved to peck her lips and get up to go shower all the same. "Sleep would be nice," he agreed. He really was exhausted by then...so a good night sleep seemed wonderful.

Mari rolled her eyes at him after a moment, a soft chuckle escaping her. "I quite like the beast form too," she mused. "Although Sage, we do live in the countryside. I don't think you'd have to be a beast to scare the crap out of people in the woods," she hummed. She grinned at his little peck, and sort of watched him wander off up the stairs as she went to go get some waters for them. She waddled upstairs happily before flopping down on the bed, pretty much starfishing as she let out a soft groan of relief to finally be back in bed.

Sage had chuckled softly in response to her comments, just shaking his head slightly in amusement as he moved to wander up the stairs. Once he was done getting ready though, he moved to crawl into bed with Mari happily, sort of poking her side with a chuckle. "If you want to cuddle you gotta move over," he teased lightly, settling in after a moment.

Mari groaned when he poked her, and moved to poke him back but stayed spread out across the bed. "If you want me to move you're gonna have to make me," she groaned, the bed more the comfortable. She looked up at him, though, giving a soft smile. "The shower didn't turn you into a handsome prince, I'm afraid," she mused gently to him. It wasn't too late, but she was tired and really just wanted to sleep. She sighed spread out across the bed, flopping her arms and legs over him with a heavy breath of air.

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comments, sort of nestling in beside her, scooting her over a little bit, just enough so he didn't like ....fall off the bed or anything. He snickered at her next comment though, pecking her lips lightly and then flopping his head down on the pillows. "You forget that ruggedly handsome is still handsome," he teased. "The prince part isnt important," he added lightly, still just joking around a bit. But he was tired too, so when Mari just flipped over him he simply wrapped his arms around her and let himself relax, sort of slowly drifting off once he'd settled down.
