When Sage come in, of course she curled up a bit more and rolled over, wrapping her arms around him happily. When he pecked her lips, she just grinned and moved to bury her face into his shoulder. "You know I think you're handsome no matter what," she chuckled, and sort of moved around to get comfortable. It was true, though. She did think he was handsome. Not a lot could change that for her. Either way, she loved him as is. She soon enough found herself drifting off to sleep, completely exhausted.

Sage chuckled softly, nodding along to her comments. "I know," he hummed softly. "Though I still say you're biased," he added with a tired laugh, tucking his nose into her hair lightly as he let himself relax. She fell asleep rather quickly, and the soft in and out of her breath killed him into his own slumber fairly quickly as well. He was tired, do it definitely didn't take much before he was out cold.

Mari slept for a long while before waking up to the storm that had finally hit them. The rain on the windows was hard, and the wind wasn't great, but they were inside. It wouldn't affect them. She just groaned and moved to rest her head on Sages chest, her hand resting on his stomach the way it always had. She tried to just ignore the sounds and get back to sleep... though, it might take a while.

Sage was woken by the storm too, admittedly because the sudden clap of thunder had startled him awake. He quickly realized what it was and settled down of course, but he was already awake by the time Mari groaned. He just let her shift and then retightened his grip on her and closed his eyes, hoping to get at least a little bit of rest.

The woman settled down, falling back to sleep after pulling the blankets up a bit more. She woke early the next morning, though, with Silas curled up between herself and Sage. She cocked her head and poked the child's nose with a small smile. "What are you doing?" She whispered, tired but happy to sit with the boy for a while. She raised a brow at him at cocked her head, a small chuckle escaping her. "You're a bit old to be scared of storms, huh?" She asked, to which the child shook his head and buried into her when thunder clapped again. Mari jumped a little, but soon settled back down with a small huff of air.

Sage had sort of drifted in and out of a more relaxed state and then waking up when the thunder got louder. He was awake when Silas came in, so he let the boy snuggle in between him and Mari, telling him not to wake her. She woke eventually though, and curled up with the boy. By then sage had pretty much just been awake long enough he didn't have the energy to do anything but lay there with his eyes closed. He still couldn't sleep, no matter how tired he was, but he could try to rest at least.

Mari ran a hand softly through their sons hair, trying to be of comfort to the child. It wasn't long until he'd calmed a little though, and she could see his eyes getting heavy. She had a feeling it would be a long day for everyone. It was still early, so she picked the boy who was not surprisingly heavy up and took him back to his bed, telling him to try and sleep a little more. She wandered back to their room, looking over at Sage, his eye lids fluttering slightly. She knew that tell well enough to know he wasn't really sleeping. If he was, then it was a fitful and probably full of nightmares. She crawled on the bed to straddle him, offering him a small smile as she brushed his hair out of his face. "You not sleeping?" She almost asked as she pecked his cheek.

Sage didn't really move as Mari took Silas back to his room, though when she came back he opened his eyes and gave her a tired smile, shaking his head with a sigh. "Not really," he admitted with a sort of yawn. "Anytime I start to get relaxed enough to drift off the thunder starts me up again," he added with a wrinkle of his nose. It wasn't uncommon for that to happen....the soft rumbly thunder he didn't mind, but the louder booms and such always kept him up.

Mari smiled softly and glanced back at the door. "Your son is the same," she hummed softly. Well, nearly. Silas just didn't like it, whereas it actually freaked Sage out a little. Silas could eventually sleep through it if you sat with him long enough. She sighed and pressed a light kiss to his lips before sliding off him and flopping down just next to him. He had been getting better. At least, it was better than the first storm they'd been through together. He'd nearly put a knife in her head. She shivered at that thoughtful and found herself tracing his face with her finger, offering another smile. "I can stay up with you if you'd like," she offered before resting her hand on his cheek.

Sage chuckled softly when she mentioned Silas not liking the loud noises, nodding along. "Me also being nervous about it probably doesn't help," he admitted with a soft sigh. He could hide a lot of things, but he couldn't help but jump at times, and the kids probably noticed. He did feel a bit bad about that...the thunder wasn't bad. It wasn't supposed to be scary. Maybe if he was normal, he wouldn't make it seem as bad for Silas. He next comment drew his attention away from his thoughts, though, and he just shook his head slightly. "No...you need the sleep," he murmured. "You've already been up enough, and at least one of us should be awake enough to deal with the kids tomorrow. Or later. Or whatever the hell it is," he noted.
