Max awoke a few hours later, head resting on her hip as he sat up, checking the time.

Max layed back, folding his hands behind his head as he stared up at the ceiling, craving even a sliver of alchohol. When else was he supposed to propose? Wait until the next year for summer or spring? He wanted to propose now, get married to the girl of his dreams, carry on in life with her. He stood and pulled on a pair of sweats, unzipping his back and grabbing the velvet box, opening it to see the ring Kylie had described as the one she'd want. He sighed, slipping the box shut again before hiding the box in his bag, zipping it once more.

Max blinked the thoughts away, his usual expression replacing the hollow one as he looked down at her, smiling softly. "Yeah, just zoned out."
