Sage pecked her cheek as she moved to pack the kids up, moving to toss the harness on chaos and hook him up to the wagon. That way, by the time the kids were ready, the wagon would also be there, right out front of the house. It was just easier that way. He waited out there for them, helping them into the wagon and tossing their bags in the back before helping Mari up and taking the reins.

Mari smiled up at Sage as he helped her in, and made sure the kids were all settled down before they set off. It wasn't long until they arrived at her mothers house, and Xander came running out to grab little Liz, who giggled girlishly. Silas ran out after them, and they stayed for a little while before they set off again.

Sage grinned when Xander moved to grab Liz, giving the younger a light greeting. He'd gotten a long with Liz from the start ...Silas too, though Liz seemed a bit partial to Xander. It was nice to see. They stayed for a little while, just to say hello to everyone and make sure the kids were settled. Soon enough though, they were on the road and heading towards the castle at a brisk pace.

Mari settled down in the carriage as they wandered back towards the castle, and hopped out once they'd reached the grounds. "I'm gonna head off to see the doctor - I take it you're gonna go straight to Anya?" She asked with a cocked head as they made their way through the doors. Although, she supposed he may like to see Atticus at some point, too... that was fine. She just wanted to check in with the doctor, see if he needed a hand with anything.

Sage had nodded in response to her comments with a light hum. "I'll go get chaos settled and say hi to att, then head up to check on Anya," he noted, pecking her cheek. "I'll come and find y'all once I'm done with the two of them, yeah," he added. When she agreed, he moved to lead chaos down to the stables, the stallion still full of energy despite having pulled the cart all the way down here. Sage noticed att right away, and called out a greeting to the boy, hooking chaos up to the cross ties and unhitching him as the stallion moved around, curiously sniffing the horses around him.

Mari nodded and went straight up to the doctors. As she'd suspected, the man was... not in a good place, no matter how he tried to hide it. Good thing Mari was fucking incredible at comforting people, it wasn't long until that old man was stuck trying to hold back tears. He never shed any, of course, but he told her a little bit of what he was thinking; some stories from when the queen was young. She rather suddenly saw why he cared so much about the bitter old woman, but he really did seem upset about the whole thing.

Atticus was in the stable, grooming now not so little Luther. The horse had to be at least three and a half now... but he was still growing like a weed, and looked very coltish. "I'm here," he called back with a smile as he heard Sage calling for him.

Sage chuckled when he heard atts voice come from around a corner, and settled chaos in an empty stall before wandering over in the direction atts voice had come from. He grinned when he saw the colt, who was by now pretty much the height of chaos and the other fully grown horses, but clearly still had much more growing to do. "Look at you," he hummed lightly, stroking the animals forehead happily as the colt nickered in greeting.

He glanced over to att then, humming softly. "How've you been holding up with all this crazy stuff going on," he mused, hoping the boys be honest with him. He needed someone to talk to, and Anya clearly wasn't going to be it.

Att gave a light smile when the man came around the corner, although was very engrossed on getting a hard patch of mud off his hinde quaters. He chuckled at his comment, and patted the horses flank lightly. "Yeah, he's getting big... lots of filling out to do now, though," he mused. He was admittedly terrified as to how big he was getting - he was already tall, and still growing like a weed, but he was also getting bulkier by the day. Terrifying. He looked back up after a moment and gave a soft shrug. How was he? Hell, how was he supposed to know. "I'm getting on alright," he noted simply. It was the truth of it - he was getting on just fine. He was sad, of course, his grand parents had just died, but he was... as said... fine.

Sage hummed lightly and nodded, looking the colt up and down in response to atts comment. "He'll get pretty big," he agreed with a chuckle. "Good for what you'll need as your train to become a knight and such," he added lightly, glad he'd had the idea to gift the horse to the boy. It had been good for him...he needed a friend anyway, and the colt didn't really fit his program all too well. If att wanted foals from him, he'd certainly help with that, but for now training him up was the most important thing.

He nodded in response to atts other comment though, a soft smile crossing his face. "Good," he noted. "This sort of thing can mess shit up pretty good," he added softly. He was relieved to know the boy was alright though. And he'd been honest ...he hadn't said good necessarily, he would be upset a bit...but he was alright. Getting through it ok. And that was all good.

Atticus smiled to him and gave a confirming nod. Yeah... he was gonna be a big boy. At least 17hh, if not bigger, and bulky as hell. Good for Att, though, since the boy was about two centimeteres from towering over Sage. He was getting pretty bulky himself, what with his training and all. As Sage said, he'd be good for when he became a knight. If he could convince the colt chunky armour wasn't scary, that was.

He let out a soft breath when he said it could mess things up, though. Everything up in the air, and it did worry her. "Yeah, I know," he muttered, shaking his head. He was only dealing with it because he didn't get on super well with... well, any of them. He was closer with the King and Queen than he was with Anya, and when he had spoken to the woman she'd seemed very stressed. He was upset, sure, but it wasn't affecting him a whole lot. "Anya is in a state of panic, as are most people up here," he scoffed before looking back over to Sage. "I'm just glad I can get away from it all," he added with an amused shake of the head.
