Sage grinned over at Mari when she came in with the tray, his interest immediately moving his focus off of her and more towards whatever it was she had on there. "Watcha got," he asked curiously, trying to figure out what exactly she had and what he wanted to eat. It seemed like it had been forever since he'd had her cooking, and he definitely missed it. The doctors goop food wasn't very.....edible. it was good for him but still gross. This was much better.

Mari flashed hima big grin after a moment, then cocked her head thoughtfully. "I have a bit of everything! Fruits, pasta, eggs, theres a little bit of shredded up chicken too if you feel up for it," she hummed, glancing over the maybe... five bowls of food. There had to be something that he'd eat. "I spoke to the doctor about what'd be good for you. He said plain foods, so here we are!"

Sage hummed with a sort of nod, eyeing the foods that she'd brought. There was definitely plenty for him to eat, and it was pretty good at that. "It looks good," he noted, moving to pick at the fruit she'd brought down. It all looked fairly edible ...except for maybe the chicken. That still looked a little greasier than he wanted. But the fruit was good, and he got through that bowl fairly quickly. He would have worked on the pasta too, but he was filled to bursting by then, so he flipped back over with a content sigh. "I'll have the pasta later, yeah," he noted softly, alibet somewhat tiredly by now.

Mari offered him a slightly sheepish smile as he ran over it all... none of it was really 'breakfast' food, but it was things she hoped he could stomach, and of course what would be good for him. She gave a liitle nod when he said he'd have the pasta later, though. "Make sure you have the egg with it," she hummed, patting the top of his head and taking a few plates off him. She set it all on the side before sort of perching on the edge of the bed, just sort of smiling softly at him.

Sage sort of eyed the egg when she spoke, debating whether or not it looked edible enough for him. He relented though, with a tired sigh and nod. "I'll try," he promised. He wasn't sure he'd be able to get it all down but...if she wanted him to try then he'd do it. There was nothing wrong with that. Besides, he knew she'd have been sick with worry about him for....well, ever since he went missing really. So if this would help her stress levels then he'd eat the damn egg. Or ..at least, he'd try to. He shifted so he was just nestled against her side, letting out another sigh. "Wish I could do more than this without needing to pass out again," he grumbled, a scowl crossing his face.

Mari just nodded. He didn't have to eat it all but... well, the egg was probably the best thing for him as of then. Nothing else was very nutritious. She let out a soft breath after a moment, pouting in response. "Passing out is good," she mused lightly after a moment, sort of wrapping an arm around his side and gving him the softest squeeze. "Means your body is trying to heal," she added. She knew he hated this, but it really was good for him... meant he was getting better. He was getting the rest he needed to get back to normal. She ran a hand into his hair, p;laying with a few strands as she cocked her head slightly. "I mean... have you been having any dreams?"
