Anya droned through town, stopping once at the tavern to make sure the boy wasn't there. It was somewhat nice to see that he wasn't working all night. It was an oddity that he actually managed to do that at all. Anya had lost but one night's sleep, and she found herself light-headed. Eventually, the girl waddled down to the lake, in hopes of finding the boy. If not, she would simply go home and find him the next day. She spotted him from a distance and raised her hand in a quiet hello before going to sit under the same tree as the night before.

Sage noticed the movement from the girl's wave and he waved back before wandering over and sitting down next to her. "No Lizzie tonight. She's cold asleep on the bed." He could tell she was a bit tired, so he was planning on not doing much. Heck, if they just slept on the beach that would be fine...he was exhausted too.

Anya rested her forehead against her tucked-up knees. She gave a soft yawn before looking over at him, offering up the envelope before she said anything. "That's fair. She was up all night bless her." She murmured before giving a light chuckle. "I'm kinda tired too. I don't know how you do it - stay up for so long without much keeping you going." The girl lifted her head up to look over the lake. It was so calm. She let out a groan before handing her head again. "Did you have an alright day?"

Sage shrugged. "I'm used to it I guess. Also I don't really have a choice." He flopped onto his back with his arms under his head. "It was slow today. Everyone's asleep at home nursing hangovers."

"That's a good thing though?" She asked with a huff. The girl slid down the tree until she was laying on her back, staring up at the stars. It was cloudy, just a little though. The girl found herself fluttering in and out of consciousness, every now and then opening her eyes in an attempt to stay awake. "I forgot to bring some outfits for Lizzie," She breathed out quietly.

Sage glanced over at her and shrugged. "It means I have less work at the tavern, so I guess so." Then he shrugged. "You're half asleep. Lizzie can wait. If you want to sleep, then sleep."

Anya shook her head at the boy with a huff. As tired as she was, she wouldn't feel at all safe on the beach - nor did she trust herself to wake up. Still, she let her eyes flutter close as she spoke. "You shrug too much." She noted with a sarcastic chuckle. Edited at July 27, 2022 10:46 AM by Belle

Sage raised an eyebrow and chuckled lightly. "I guess I just don't care about a lot of stuff." He knew the girl was falling asleep so he stayed quiet after that.

The girl gave a light smile, though that seemed to be the last of her interactions. She didn't say anything more, simply covered her face with her arm to block out any light. Eventually, she found herself asleep again, though, this time she felt a little more at ease.

Sage closed his eyes for a bit once the girl fell asleep and let himself drift off. He woke up soon from nightmares, but continued to lay around so Anya could get some rest. He'd wake her up if he had to.
