Two months passed and Sage's leg luckily healed after she religiously checked it everyday and cleaned it every couple of days to try and save their supplies. In the two months they were able to stay well fed due to her hunting and the cave kept them more safe then anything else ever could. They had the good life despite the hell that was around them with the apocalypse. Cassidy already gained more weight from eating one good meal everyday and staying hydrated thanks to the river that was only a couple feet away from them. She managed to find some blankets and pillows too when she went scavenging a month back to make their place a little more cozy. She even found an ax too which helped to cut some of the trees so they had plenty of wood. What they had going was something anyone would want but luckily no one has found their secret hiding spot. The waterfall hid the cave very well.

Sage was getting bored, to put it quite frankly. He'd been laying around for two months, doing nothing, and now that he could go do stuff he wanted to get out and ... Well... Do stuff. Fighting zombies was fun, though it would be his luck to get himself hurt again. He liked the cave, the set up they had here, and he'd grown to like Cass even more. But he was still bored. He was currently playing with the waterfall, sticking his hand in and out, because he had nothing better to do. They had food and water, and even some blankets, so they didn't need to go out into danger. But, sage, admittedly, liked the danger a bit...a good fight always made him feel better, and adrenaline was something he knew very well. And he liked it. He was always the one to jump into things, the hit headed one.

Cassidy woke up from a small nap and she sat up with a yawn "Hey do you want to go to the town? I want to see if there's a few more supplies we can hoard here before someone else gets to them." She stood up and stretched with her bones popping and cracking from the way she laid down to take her nap on her sleep sack. Cassidy knew Sage was bored from sitting around so she figured going to the town would help give him something to do. "Unless you want to stay alone in the cave instead of joining your best friend?" she giggled, grabbing her backpack and then walking over to the ledge of the cave to climb down and into the water. Cassidy didn't wait for his answer, especially when she assumed he would already go with her now that he was healed. She walked out of the water and rang out her clothes so they weren't so wet.

Sage lept after her into the water with a huge splash. It was a bit of a clumsy move, but, hey, he wanted to go do something and she just walked out of the cave. Well, technically she swam, but whatever. He practically ran out of the water when he came up on the other side and shook his hair out, purposely splashing Cass a bit when he shook himself. A wilen grin split his face, and he was being a bit neurotic. But he was ready to go...he hadn't done anything in two months.

"Hey!" she laughed when the water he shook from his hair splashed onto her and it gave her an idea that made her smirk. Cassidy shifted into her wolf form and she jumped into the water, making sure to get herself soaked from the neck down. She walked out of the water and walked up to Sage before she shook out her fur, coating him in more water than he coated her in. Luckily werewolves could talk through their mind and she had done it a few times with Sage so he would get used to it. She mind linked Sage -Ha! Thought you were slick, huh? Two can play at your game- her tail was wagging in a playful manner.

Sage shrieked, though he was laughing, and kicked at the water sending a wave on top of the pup. Who was really his best friend. It still seemed cool that the person he hung out with was a werewolf....he really liked that little bit. Made life more interesting. "Yes, two can play," he cackled, running out of the water and away from Cass before she could shake and get him back again. So they would play a friendly game of tag on the way to the town. It would be fun. And he knew that while she was faster in her wolf form, he could dodge her pretty easily, and he could always scoop her up. That gave him an idea and he tried to hide a smirk...he could grab her, she was still puppy size. That way he'd definitely win the little game of tag. She growled softly -No fair!- he splashed her with water again and she had to shake out her fur before she could run after him again. Cassidy was the size of a lab so she wasn't huge and she wasn't done growing yet so she would get to the size of a real wolf when she was an adult. That was still a few years away but being small had it's perks at least that came in handy. Cassidy easily caught up to Sage and she was running behind him, her eyes were focused on him to try and figure out the best time to tackle him down. He would be able to handle it, especially since she was only like fifty pounds right now. Maybe even a little less.

Sage giggled at her small growl of protest and grinned widely when he heard her come up behind him. He figured she'd try to tackle him or something...he'd grown to know the girl (or, wolf, at this point) rather well. When she pounced, she'd be in the air...he could catch her then. She was still pretty much puppy sized, and couldn't weigh any more than like 60 pounds at the most. He could cat her, no problem. He wasn't exactly the largest guy himself, he was pretty slim even though he'd filled out over the past two months, having enough to eat every day. Or at least most days. Being hungry was a rare occasion now. But he could still catch her, he had no doubt there. And boy would she be surprised when he did!
