The limo brought Luca and Laurel to another tall dark building. He got out and wrapped an arm around her waist and led her into the building.

Laurel settled into his side lightly, her hand resting gently on his lower back as they walked. She wasn't sure what her purpose was during the meeting, but she figured she'd just do whatever she was told while sticking to Luca's side. As they entered the building she caught the sight of a sketchy man watching them from afar, but she didn't think too much of it. Their town could be pretty sketchy at times.

Luca led her by her waist and into a large meeting room. There were a dozen other nicely put together men all sitting around the table, with their women sitting upon their laps, just looking pretty. Luca sat at the head of the table, patting his lap for Laurel to sitm

Laurel hesitated when she saw so many people, but she reminded herself she had a job to do. So, she took a slightly deep breath and situated herself into his lap. She always found herself comfortable there, oddly enough. He was always warm and his scent was comforting as well, so it wouldn't take long for him to feel her relaxing.

Luca leaned back into his chair, settling a hand on her hip. "Don't worry, you'll be okay. Just stay still," he reassured her gently.

Laurel smiled faintly, her arm laced lightly around his shoulders. "Yes sir.." she murmured, her fingers smoothing through the hair at the nape of his neck, but not to where she'd mess it up at all. Other than that, she listened and stayed still.

Luca and the other men spoke for a while. There were also a few women in power who sat at the table, representing their own.

Laurel listened absently, only shifting every now and again to get more comfortable. She was as quiet as she could be, occupying her time by studying his features up close when she wasn't watching the person who was speaking.

It was a good, productive meeting. After it was over, he patted her thigh, signaling her to stand.

Laurel jolted a little when he patted her thigh, giving away that she'd been lost in thought at the backend of the meeting. She stood up and stepped to the side to give him room to stand as well, though she didn't stray too far.
