The food came and Kvothe took a sip of his macchiato. |

The waiter brings them both their orders, and Delilah eats quickly. Once she finished the croissant, she sips her mocha. Once she finishes Kvothe pays and the two leave the cat cafe. "Where to next, handsome?" She asks him, eager now. |

Kvothe smiles, "this is my favorite part" he tells her. The sun was just beginning to set. He took her to a rose garden. |

Delilah looked around at all the roses, and looked back to Kvothe. She bent over and smelled one of the roses, mesmerized by their beauty. "This is beautiful. How did you come across it?" She asked, walking along and holding his hand |

She asked to borrow his phone to take a photo as memorabillia. "I took a couple years in high school running start photography class. I was at the top, everyone loved me. I wasn't going to pursue it as a career, so I- What the?" She zoomed in on the picture. "Who the fuck is this??!!" She held up a picture of Kvothe with his arms around another woman. The caption said: 'Love to Rebecka' "You said! You would never love anyone else! You lied to me!" She was screaming at him, driven by her rage. "I can't believe you! You don't love me! You're, what, using me? Are you trying to get back at her??!! What the hell, Kvothe??!! Why? Why would you love me! Everything you said was a rotten lie! You don't love me!" She ran out of the garden and hailed a cab. |

Kvothe was about to propose but it all fell when Delilah ran off. Bother grabbed her wrist, stopping her. "Please, let me explain!" He says. "I did love Rebecka" he admits. "But that was years ago. I've gotten over her, learned to move on" he tells her. "You wanna know why I keep that photo? Because she was also a friend before. And now she's gone. She died. The photo is to keep her memory alive as no one else would bury her." he tells her. "I know I should have told you about it earlier, but I thought it wasn't necessary" he adds, guilt lacing his eyes. "I'm so sorry" he tells her. "I don't deserve you, and if you still wish to leave me, I understand" he says. "Whatever your choice is, I wish you're happy" he says softly. |

She stood there, tears streaming as he explained. To her surprise she said, "I'm sorry for your loss, Kvothe." in the calmest tone she could manage. She quickly wiped her tears. She took his hand again, and hugged him. "I'm sorry I reacted that way, handsome. Will you forgive me?" She kissed his chin, truly embarassed for her actions. "Let's look at roses?" she suggested. |

Kvothe let a sigh of relief. "No worries" he says kissing her head. He hugged her tightly. |

She had stopped crying and now felt guilty for hurting him. I'm a horrible person. He loves me, but he loved someone else before. That's okay because she can't get between us. "I love you. I'm sorry. I just saw the picture and assumed. I do really love you, I was just worried you didn't love me as much back." She said, kissing him. She sighed and asked, "How did you find out about this place? It's beautiful. I would have never guessed there to be a rose garden in one of the most famous cities outside of the U.S." She pulled away from his hug and took his hand, "I refuse this to drive a wedge between us. Okay, handsome?" They started walking in the garden again, Kvothe leading while holding hands. |
