Dylan navigated the very crowded road. It was rainy and dark. There had been an accident a few miles ahead, and the highway was bumper to bumper.

She laid in bed, petting the dogs that accompanied her. She had the TV playing, but paid it no mind.

It was 3 when Dylan finally arrived at his dorm. He dragged his bags up to his dorm in the pouring rain, flopping down on the bed. He'd unpack tomorrow.

She laid down, the TV being mere white noise to her.

Dylan pulled out his phone and texted her, "Are you still up?"

She gave a short response. 'Yes.'

Dylan facetimed her, "Hey," he hummed softly.
